Schalke's Stevens: "5 teams in semis, that is the level of Spanish football"
The coach of Schalke 04, Huub Stevens, highlighted after the elimination of his team by Athletic Bilbao that the presence of five teams in the eight semifinalists of the two great European championships "reflects the level of Spanish football"
"I'm happy with the behavior of the team and our followers. We have always believed that we could make a comeback and after the 2-2- we could have achieved a 2-3 which would have put Athletic on a tight space, although they have responded well", explained the dutch coach.
Stevens, lastly, made an assessment on the future of Athletic Bilbao and their chances of achieving the final, "I wish them the best, but I am not Athletic's coach and don't know how they will do", he concluded.
