Uruguayan sources of mine are saying we have reached an agreement to sign him.

Is he more of speed merchant, or more of a Alexis Sanchez type ?

He is neither, he reminds of Gaitan actually, with better passing, and he plays inside like a SS/AM

He's a great player.. Is a real live-wire and very exciting to watch. Can be a big difference maker. He's speedy and a great dribbler.

Can play almost every position in midfield with a good degree of quality, but he's best used as an AM. Tremendously hard worker off the ball as well. Still can't believe we didn't pay Bologna the 12 mil they wanted for him.

Seems a pittance now.

I heard Liverpool are planning to bid 16m for him.

I spoke to RedOranje or McLewis about him during the Napoli - Roma match, he is an amazing player, one of the best prospects for the future, although Barcelona shouldn't be his next destination; as his style doesn't suit Barcelona at all.

I like him from what I've seen honestly (which is hardly anything at all),he seems a bit like Ozil but I'm not gonna be held to that comparison.

I genuinely wonder if there is room for 3 young atacking midfielders at the same club.

Don't know much about Coates but if you've seen Bologna this season then you'd know how good Ramirez really is.

Also, if you were going to a new team in a foreign country, i'm sure you'd also go to the one where some of your fellow countrymen are playing.

Well, since he is denying two rumours and pretty much looks like he is trying to dismiss every story about Liverpool transfers, it does seem like the opposite is taking place.

That's a local Liverpool paper..... if anyone knows what's going on at Liverpool i believe they do.

He does'nt say they wont be trying to get Ramirez in the future, just for now it's not looking like happening.

Hard to believe Liverpool are not involved in any negotiations now and considering these are the major rumours doing the rounds, i think there is something in it.

Probably they want to confirm only when the talks are at an advanced stage.

Rodgers has come out and said he hopes to sign one player before leaving for their preseason tour next week, maybe two.

Hard to imagine Gaston Ramirez isn't one of those given the rumors going around. However, it would seem that the club is generally doing a much better job of disinformation/playing things close to the chest than they have in recent windows. In any case, I'm excited to see who we've been targeting if not Ramirez.
