Alessio steps in for Conte
Juventus assistant boss Angelo Alessio was left to talk to the media following the Coppa success against Milan after Antonio Conte lost his voice.
The Old Lady sealed their place in the Italian Cup Final after an extra time goal from Mirko Vucinic made it 2-2 on the night and 4-3 on aggregate.
“Antonio lives through every match with passion and now he is voiceless,” the former Old Lady midfielder noted.
“It was a great game and the players put in a great performance given that they strongly wanted to reach the Final.
“They’ve been giving their all for the last eight months, but we still have petrol left in the tank thanks to the work we did in the summer.”
Juve took the lead through Alessandro Del Piero, but a spirited Rossoneri side hit back with Djamel Mesbah and Maxi Lopez.
“We faced a great team this evening,” continued Alessio. “And we were forced to limit our pressing game.
“However, we did well to immediately react after Milan had taken the lead and we reacted even better in extra time.
“We had three opportunities to score and then we finally did with Vucinic.”
Juve will play either Siena or Napoli in the Final. The Bianconeri are 2-1 up going into tonight’s Stadio San Paolo clash.
