Personally before the tournament i thought spain were the favourites and pretty much a safe bet to win. Thought this at euro 12 as well, simply put, they just dominate

And to suggest Dani Alves, Fabiano, Julio Cesar and Maicon and Lucio were not great players at the time is simply stupid. Not to mention Robinho, who for Brazil has constantly done fantastic.

You don't even know who played for them.The bookies as well as the general opinion at the time had both Brazil and Spain as joint favorites.If you remember as well no European team had won the WC outside of Europe and Brazil were perfectly set up to counter Spain if they reached the final.Unfortunetly for them injures to Elano and Ramires and 45 minutes of madness cost them against Holland.But I don't think anybody with any kind of football knowledge can say that Dutch team were as good as that Brazil team.

Neymar The obvious conclusion one can come to after reading your comments is that you didn't watch any of Brazil games.You simply couldn't have watched any of Brazils games or have any knowledge about Dungas team and system if you think Neymar played for them.

Brazil raped Netherlands? You need to check what the meaning of that word is. Seleção had one clear cut chance (Robinho's goal) and that was due to extremely schoolboy defending. And let's face it, Brazil choked right after they conceded the first goal.

One clear cut chance?Then how did stkelenburg make the second best save in the wc in that game? if you don't think we destroyed them in the first half then watch the game again,kaka and robinho were rolling on their defenders and robben/sneider were kept quiet

Ye it was a game of two halves that's for sure,if Stelkenburg doesn't make that amazing save off Kakas shot when it was already 1 - 0 I think that would have wrapped the game up.At half time I don't think anybody seen Holland turning it around,Brazil were really dominant in the 1st half playing some brilliant football.I still don't know what happened to Brazil in the 2nd half,Cesar messes up on a simple cross to make it 1 - 1 and suddenly Brazil went to pieces.

I think it was partly because of Hollands spoiling tactics which got under Brazils skin.In the 2nd half Van Bommel and De Jong were constantly fouling and breaking up play without been punished properly while Robben gave Robinho and co a lesson in diving,he really pissed Brazils players off 2nd half with his diving(I remember at one point Robinho of all people was pleading with him to stop ) and playacting which ended in Melo lashing out at him.

I think you misunderstood,I meant Melo kicked out at Robben because Robben was going down easy/diving all game.If I remember correctly Robben went to ground off one of Melos tackles/fouls(don't remember if it was really a foul or not) and started to roll around like he was in agony so Melo lashed out by kicking him studs first.
