Pep scared of Milan the most

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has revealed that he would like to avoid AC Milan in the draw for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.


The Blaugrana have already faced the Rossoneri twice in this season's competition, having been placed in the same group as the Italian champions.

Barcelona got the better of Milan by managing to triumph 3-2 at San Siro after being held to a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou, but they were made to work hard for their four points and for that reason, Guardiola is keen to steer clear of Massimiliano Allegri's side for at least one more round.

"I would like to avoid Milan in the quarter-finals, they are the most dangerous side to face in the competition." the former Spain international told reporters ahead of Friday's draw.

"We have already played [twice] and they are one of the biggest clubs in Europe.

"However, to reach the final in Munich, there is still so much to accomplish and above all, there remains the need to clash with the best."

Barcelona booked their place in the last eight with a 10-2 demolition of Bayer Leverkusen, while Milan scraped past Arsenal 4-3 on aggregate.

It would be a good game. He shouldn't be saying that because it sounds like he's scared of Milan. A top team should be ready to face anyone on their road to a title. The only teams that could stop barca in the cl are Milan and Madrid. Milan did play good against them in the group stages. Madrid of course are really consistent lately and have their best chance in a long time to beat them to te cl. The rest of th teams IMO don't stand a chance.

Its natural he says that cuz he is already faced them twice.So he already knows what to expect from them when they come up against each other once again.

As opposed to sides like a Napoli or Bayern Munich who i think will qualify anyway.

And also he has said this when the remaining round of 16 matches havent been completed yet.

But any blind man can see Madrid are the toughest competition to them and he pretty sure knows they wont draw Madrid in the QF's.Not hard to understand.

Us drawing Barca is unlikely but it can still happen Surag.

I agree with him.

Milan may not be the second best team in the world but their slow paced game reading type defending (serie A defending ) can cause Barca more trouble than say an english side or a La liga side.Add to that Milan players are all 30 around ,they may not be the quickest but if they sit deep there is no one better than Milan at game reading.Tactically well disciplined teams causes Barcelona the most problem not really the best teams.

I've said it before Milan can reach the final this year. They have the tools to do so.
