Kyrgiakos is a good defender

haven't heard much about Kyrgiakos in a while. How is he as a defender? all I know is that he's good in the air

Well, when he played for Wolfsburg he wasn't exactly convincing. Dunno how he does for Sunderland now.

Completely underrated at Liverpool. I remember people calling him the flop of the season :facepalm:

I liked him.

Was a beast in the air...................didn't get much time tho.

@Lex.....wasn't Liverpool people....I think everyone just remembered the horror tackle on Fellaini.

He used to be solid , for letssaymost of his clubs and definitely for country , but i don't know how he does now. I haven't been able to watch him play for months.

What i am sure of though , he won't lose the chance for a good haider or a 1on1 in the air. Very strong too , but awfully slow some times. What i like from him is his attitude. Fully respects his club whoever they are and gives his all every single time. He's a pro and he's experienced . Having said that , not what you call a top class defender. He is hot-heated and gets very irritated often , not to mention some really unhuman tackles from time to time.

Overall , let's say i wouldn't be surprised if he does well at Sunderland.

Actually he was a bit of a cult hero at Liverpool especially during Roy's terms.

The first goal I saw scored in Anfield was a Soto header drinking

good but not great. he is very slow he retired from greek national team
I think he isnt for EPL or bundesliga

i would prefer he played in serie a but i think he will end his carreer returning in a greek squad probably aek or panathinaikos where he has played in..
