Is Dede the next great Brazilian CB?
Not even talking about Luiz anymore, he is rubbish. god like attacking skills for a back, but defensive aptitude of Abdoulaye Meite.
I have been hearing a lot of good things about this guy. People dont give enough credit to Brazilian defenders, but they still produce some gems like Thiago and this guy seems to be one of them.
From a little i have read about him, he is a very athletic back with size and speed to match the trickiest forwards, mature and commanding at the back. He was voted among the best players in Brazilian Serie A last season
This is him punishing Nerman and Vagner love.
Brazil needs help at the back, Thiago alone is not enough

Seems tailor made for Serie A and possibly the PL if given a bit of time..perhaps not La Liga where any physical contact is a foul.
This is without a doubt a, lets wait and see thing.

He didnt look overly physical to me, would actually suit you guys well since you want to replace Puyol

Someone that size, regardless of how physical they are, will get called for fouls.
Case in point Ibra and Pique, both called for nothing fouls just because they are bigger and stronger and naturally react better to inevitable contact.

Let's see how he adapts to playing a high line and defending against true wingers, for instance.
I particularly think he has everything to succeed: pace, athleticism, a brain, positioning and forward runs too lol.

O Mito has always been good.. ever since he left Volta Redonda. Too bad the only other decent CB in Brazil is his similar Rhodolfo. other then that.. steep drop off.

The thing is though, Thiago IS more than enough
He's a one man back 4 on his day
Milan should try not playing a GK one day and just see how Thiago goes

When Benzema went through him and Luiz, he didnt look like a one man defense.
I hope Dede gets a shot, Luiz is just not good enough defender

It's about time the Milan fans on this forum somehow obtained Galliani's phone no. to tell him about all the bargains he could be getting, not that he doesn't do a decent enough job anyway.BiasedMilanFan3 wrote:Im pretty sure I remember Dede saying Thiago Silva is his idol

Let's not kid ourselves now, Juventus ain't getting Dede for whatever reasons your club doesn't get them.

eh, not necessarily... rami gets away with a lot of shit, imho there's kind of a "you have to be this big to be considered physical" line referees have, and if players bounce off rami they mostly chalk it up to rami being strong and not bodychecking, i imagine

True, but Rami isnt as big a Pique, Ibra or Dede.
Though, just checking he isnt much smaller...doesnt quite stand out like those 3 though for some reason.
So yeah, perhaps your right.
