Union?
Isn't that the one that all you do is run at each other and inevitable get dacked, and even when you do get dacked seventeen times, you still have the ball?

As far as I can tell, the discernable differences are that in Union you're not forced to give up the ball after seven tackles which seems stupid and you earn more points for tries.
As I said, stupid sport either way

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
You guys kill me. The terms you have, I don't know what the hell you're all talking about half the time. Of course, following Cricket or Rugby would help, but I'm hardly interested in either.
Rugby >>>>> American gridiron, but I don't really know where to find rugby and I'm not very interested anyhow.
Now that I think about it, football is the ONLY sport I care about.

My main concern in AFL isn't that Essendon win, it's that Collingwood lose.
Apart from a match I actually attended, I don't think I watched more than a quarter of any Essendon match last year.

I became a fan of Milan because they had the same colours as Essendon. True story.dostoevsky wrote:My main concern in AFL isn't that Essendon win, it's that Collingwood lose.

And anything anti-Collingwood.

And then you watched them play and loved them, right? Not just because they still have the same colours?Forza Rossoneri wrote:I became a fan of Milan because they had the same colours as Essendon. I know, but how many people would rather watch Benfica — Zenit than Arsenal — Milan .

I think SBS got a bad deal with TV rights this year. I don't think they're doing this on purpose... at least I hope they aren't. My theory is that ESPN has exclusive rights to show a game of their choice live each week and SBS just has to settle for the rest of the games. Either that or they are compensating for the Milanathon which will inevitably follow in the quarters and semis.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
Well you could make the argument that Benfica-Zenit could go either way, however to not show at least one leg of Arsenal-Milan is ridiculous.
The Anglophiles in Australian television probably saw the annihilation coming and ensured that it wouldn't be shown to the public. Which gives you the reason why Benfica-Zenit is on for a second time.

Why bother showing Napoli—Chelsea, or any Barcelona—Minor team for that matter, then?dostoevsky wrote:Well you could make the argument that Benfica-Zenit could go either way, however to not show at least one leg of Arsenal-Milan is ridiculous.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
They were probably on the phone to Gary "How many of these Napoli players would honestly make the Chelsea XI?" Neville when they decided to show Napoli-Chelsea.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
As long as you don't concede you'll always have a chance, however the situation is perfectly set up for Napoli and they've a stronger midfield if they do need to react to an early goal for Chelsea.
A new coach going into a siege game? Anything can happen, I'm just glad that Napoli aren't playing Chelsea immediately after Di Matteo's appointment, which might change the attitude of the players.

Re: The Official Talk About Whatever Thread
before this season he had 0 confidence, like his confidence was on par with torres, thats how bad it was, but he been a GOAT at Dijion, expecting big things from him next seasonForza Rossoneri wrote:Shouldn't have loaned out Kakuta this season either. i dont uderstand this, really dont understand how we let the PL reserves top goal scorer for 3 or 4 seasons striaght leave for nothing. He was that good that in Jan last season he went on loan to swansea and still managed to be the top scorer in the reserve leaguedostoevsky wrote:Shouldn't have let Borini go.
After seeing him at Roma imo letting him go is about on par with letting carlo and mou go
