Are you any 'less credible' compared to someone older than you? NO in the vast majority of situations, yes in very few cases...

Ok, say a 15 yr. old. makes the exactly same argument as a 30 yr. old...
Is the 15 yr. old's argument any less credible simply because they are half the age of the 30 yr. old? No.

Now add the detail that the argument is about something historical that the 30 year old lived through and the 15 year old did not. They can still make the same argument, but I might regard the 30 yr. old's argument as being more convincing if they are able to draw on their real-life observations.

More aftershocks of 8.2 and 8.1. A tsunami is definitely on the way, hopefully the authorities are getting people out of the likely affected area quickly.
