He watched the game with Porto president when we went over there to play Manchester City. So he might be coming back.
Either that or Inter imo.

Re: Where Is AVB Going Next?
Moratti wants AVB, he can't do any worse that ranieri's 7 straight losses, this team always has a mini revival when a enthusiastic coach gets hired (Leonardo, not gasperini), he has connections to the mourinho era, he's young and has a winning record from Porto, he has long term potential, he employs the style of football moratti desperately wants at inter, hes the one who gave guarin a chance in the starting lineup and he beasted, he speaks perfect Italian/English/Portuguese/ Spanish.
The list goes on and on, it seems almost too good to be true for inter, but it is exactly what moratti and co. were expecting. They wanted AVB from the get go, they just didn't want to spend £15 million to get him

Also, branca and moratti have said that there will be a squad overhaul in the summer, so a lot of the old farts wont be here or won't be used come august

Inter would be a logical move, but he must have his say in the transfers or else he's end up like Benitez and Gasp

Re: Where Is AVB Going Next?
i hope he is man enough to take the inter job and turn things around for us.
all he needs is full control over who leaves and who stays and if he can work well with the many young talents we have he should do a good job.
simply the perfect coach for the current us imo

He should try out to become Mourinho's assistant coach now, he never finished his apprenticeship

I think he should take a team capable of going to UCL for few years build up reputation learn few tricks and than throw him self to the wolfs again

Why? We have zero expectations for the rest off the year, so there's no burden on him this season. Inter are committed to a long term project, they just haven't found the right coach, until now. IMO he can mould the likes coutinho, Alvarez, faraoni, guarin, poli, obi, Juan, ranocchia, caldiriola, castaignos etcetera.. Not I mention the new signings moratti has all but guaranteed this summer. He's a good fit

Re: Where Is AVB Going Next?
Chivu, cordoba, stankovic and Samuel are likely out this summer so no problems from the vets. Zanetti would never be a problem and would help him make the team his

Re: Where Is AVB Going Next?
If bayern are really interested then Inter has no chance of signing him. AVB didnt stay at porto coz he didnt want to live in the shadow of Mourinho as he admitted so if he went to Inter he'll be doing just that.

Thats good to know....Inter needed this some time ago....clubs like Chelsea should be doing more of the same...
Thats a lot of outs though, who do u think Inter will bring in? Losing Motta, Stankovic is 2 CM starters...the Jap LB doesnt look strong enough defensively. The likes of Obi and Alvarez just dont convince...and Lucio is getting on, they need quite a few signings....yet again
