Higuain vs Soldado

Who is the better player? and why? the why is important

higuain at his worst is better than soldado at his worst... not much else between them tbh

difference is mostly service, today we're seeing what soldado can do with proper players behind him...

Yeah i agree with Che, atm Spain's creativity is so good that makes any striker world class.

If i follow your train of thought, Soldado is better then, because he has been able to score buckets in la liga at Getafe and Valencia with poorer service...

Higuain is more talented. Based on current form they are at the same level.

not necessarily better, pretty much the same level... higuain's got a crazy minute/goal ratio, i'm sure he would have put up at least soldado's numbers in getafe

tho one more thing, imho soldado is a more... versatile finisher (yes i did just make that up)... i mean like 90% of higuain's goals are the same, make a run behind the defence, one touch to control, shoot low with the second touch... soldado can make shit happen finishing with pretty much any body part, when he feels like it

On the chances thing....Higuain has to fight for scraps sometimes with the ball constantly being senselessly pushed to Ronaldo.

tbh fighting for scraps with ronaldive is still better than having a supporting cast of feghouli, pablo and piatti...

For me, Higuaín is a better player. In fact I rate him above Benzema as well, but I know plenty of people will disagree with me.

i really like soldado but i think higuain is a superior striker.. the point is he is a clutch player , is i n bad form right now.. once he starts scoring he can be among the best in the game as he was only a few months ago

I think a very underrated aspect of Higuain's game is his passing and he is better than Soldado in that.

You should compare Soldado to Llorente, already said he is better than Llorente and showed me he is yesterday.

Soldado is criminally underrated. Higuain has more dimensions to his play, but I'd take Soldado over Higuain at Milan. His poaching skill is incredible and he has the weight of goals to back it up. Yes, Higuain is a better finisher and better passer, but Soldado does what he does very well and you can't argue with that. I'm not saying Soldado is a better player, but I thought that I should stick up for the guy.

Higuaín a better passer? I've seen him being very selfish at times. Doesn't matter if you can pass better, it is whether you use your skills well and at the right time.

Soldado can be good even great at times but more often than not he's not.

Soldado hasn't even scored a single goal in his last 8 games (starting in 6 of them) for Valencia, I think he had one assist against Sporting maybe?

At least Higuain has an excuse between shit minutes and a recurrence of the pain in his back recently (which is why he has hardly trained and been spending alot of the time back in the gym)

Soldado is a bonafide starter and focal point in attack with no one to compete against and still can't get the job done

because higuain plays 15 minutes a game when the opponents are losing by three goals...

and soldado is the only valencia player who can score so obviously he's going to shoot more than anyone else on the team...

going through higuain's matches, he hasn't scored in a month and a half lmao... as i said not much between him and soldado

Soldado's passing in comparison to Higuains is laughable

Soldado's finishing compared to Higuain's is laughable

Soldado gets more chances in total, is the focal point of Valencia's attack and plays ALOT (Soldado has 11 more starts than Higuain ffs) more than Higuain yet still can't manage to score more than him? Confusing for a player that's his equal?

He never scored buckets at Getafe though. In fact, at Getafe, a certain writer once wrote he could go in a brothel and still wouldn't score.

I'm not relying on my memory for that, im sure he was inconsistent, but his numbers have been looking good for a la liga CF since 09/10

He got better with his consistency when he went to Valencia. One could say the talent he has to work with is way better (obviously) but I think he stepped his game up to match the expectations of the club.

oh definitely, he looks meaner as well, more determined and confident that he is a big player. He started bashing us as well
