Arteta was average and Modric was one of spurs best players today. Dunno what your on about here, you could have picked so many other points that are more relevant.

Re: Will Arsenal finish above Spurs?
Today is a perfect example of why Arsenal will not finish above Spurs. They have to be one of the most inconsistent teams I have ever seen. They go out and in there last 2 EPL games score 5 and 7 goals if I'm not mistaken and then they get rolled 2-0 by Sunderland and 4-1 by Milan.
I mean Spurs can lose to the big boys but they will get maximum points against teams they should beat and in a league setting that is more valuable.
I give Arsenal a hard time more then most but I think everyone knows when they go out and play there best they can play with and beat anyone but those games are so few and far between these days that they can also drop points to anyone as well and that is there downfall.

It doesn't matter because as long as they finish top four it's like a trophy

Finishing spurs will be excellent, but top 4 is still the no 1 priority

.
Actually, it was 4-0 and it could have be 6-0. Arsenal were playing against a Serie defence.

Re: Will Arsenal finish above Spurs?
dnmac4, speaking truth, consistency is the key, arsenal fans know it! Lets not get carried away by this great game. (thanks arsenal)
A good point though is that we've been doing fine in premier league for the last 3 games. At this point, *bleep* other trophies, lets kick spurs out of top 4 to where they belong.

LOL we lost 4-0 not 4-1 would have been nice though. Our last EPL games a 2-1 win at Sunderland and we came back from one goal down to win it.
The problem to Arsenal has been Ramsey he slows us down and does too many dumb tricks and loses the ball with out him we are a different team. I hope Wenger by now has realized that Ramsey is not a starter at Arsenal.

lol no we were playing against a shit pitch, and what did that defence do when you got manhandled by spurs last year. i know you won and fair play but get off your high horse mate. seria A is not that great. how much do you wanna bet that you are not gonna stop us scoring at the emirates? many teams have stopped arsenal scoring away from home in the epl this season, take of your seria A glasses.

I don't know what the "LOL" is about as I was off by a goal in a game you got destroyed in so does it really matter? You did in fact lose to Sunderland a couple days ago and that was obviously the game I was quoting and it was 2-0.
Again, I don't know what your point is but to prove mine let's take champions league and cup ties out of it (as I guess that's what your getting at???) and look at you last 2 months in the league.
You beat a Sunderland team 2-1 who was on fire and today a Spurs team also playing very well dropping 5 goals on them and you also destroyed Blackburn scoring 7 goals in the process.
Then you dropped points to Wolves in a tie, Fulham in a loss, Swansea in a loss, Man U in a loss, Bolton in a tie.
So in your last 9 EPL games you have 4 wins/ 2 ties and 3 loses. If you took care of business against the teams Spurs do then you would probably be above them in the table but dropping points to Wolves and Bolton is a killer and these are the games that over time really hurt you as these two teams have been pathetic over the last couple of months.
So you are fully capable of beating bad teams like Blackburn and not just beating them but playing them off the field and really good teams like Spurs and then the next week losing to Swansea or letting awful teams like Wolves or Bolton take points off of you.
This is what I was talking about and is why you will not catch Spurs and may even let a Chelsea team who is totally lost and has no confidence in what there doing take 4th from you.

No one is being destructive. The thread is asking will Arsenal finish above Spurs in the table and people are giving there honest opinions.
Now if you want everyone to qualify everything they say with a positive statement about Arsenal then maybe go to an Arsenal fans only board or something. Or start a thread about how well they played today and what you liked about the game.
But if your opinion is that Arsenal will not catch Spurs (which they wont) you want people to speak in glowing terms about Arsenal while they tell you why they can't do something? That's just not going to happen.
Do you think people on this board while discussing why Barcelona wont catch Madrid are praising Barcelona in the process? No they are killing them.
