United vs Bilbao!!!! Why's there no hype????

I know it's only Europa League but am I the only one super excited about this matchup? These are two teams you would usually never get to see play and again IMO it's a great matchup. Plus it looks like both of these teams seem to want to win this trophy.

A team that only takes players from it's province taking on one of the most storied teams in World Football that scours the world for players and has people on it's team from Europe, Asia, North America, South America etc etc.

I mean I for one can't wait to see If Javi Martinez can boss the midfield and if Fernando Llorente and Iker Munian can boss United's defense. Plus Bilbao is one of the few teams in Spain that play with a physical side to there game so it's not the usual Spanish team vs United.

Not to mention the two coach's aren't too shabby either.

There are just a ton of good story lines packed into one game, I'm surprised no one is talking about it plus I think Bilbao is going to give United all it can handle.

I genuinly think Bilbao got a chance

But I think sometimes I underrate Man U alot. With Cleverley they might dominate Bilbao's midfield

Also Javi hasn't played in the midfield under Bielsa, he plays as a CB for him

I think Man U will win but I think Bilbao got the spirit to cause a upset

They gave Barca and Real run for their money in both matches,i expect Manutd to stuggle too.

I think it will be a great game with a lot of goals. Both teams are pretty direct and have players all over the pitch that can score.

I just love the match up plus for some reason the Europa league games seem to be more entertaining then the CL games this year.

I don't expect us to struggle at home, probably a comfortable 2-0 win in the first leg. We'll have a full strength squad, with experience at the back, too, which was missing against Ajax. However, I'm worried about away from home because Athletic Bilbao have proved they can notch up their level by a couple of gears and really outperform their opponents. It's also a hostile atmosphere.

I look forward to EL more than CL now, its getting rather silly.

Amorebieta got sent off last game so he will be suspended for the next game. Bielsa might be forced to play him there.

In any case, even if ManU have a fulll squad available, I'm not sure SAF will put it out. I haven't looked at how this lines up with BPL fixtures, but it's altogether possible that SAF prioritizes the league at this point. As you are still pushing Man City for the title race, it would be understandable for him to put forth a relatively weakened side with a view to a stronger side in the league.

Even if Amorbitea { }is suspended , he might as well play the usual back 4 and a replacement and exploit Carrick,Scholes, or whomever else plays in midfield for United.

And perhaps your memory should be refreshed, but Nishank is trying to suggest that Carroll was amazing lol by using the word "easily", read over his post. Anyway, we wont have Evans and Smalling start, and even if we do, they are more than capable of dealing with Llorente at home, but away from home I do have my concerns.
