84% passing, thats worse than Cesc and Borja plays deeper...whats with that?

All the article really says is he is shooting more and therefore scoring more then other seasons, which might be down to the players in attack being crap.

Lot of reasons for that.

one he tries lot of impossible balls, infact he is the only play maker they have ,their best creator.Cani has been sub par this season,Bruno is after all his abilities not a play maker.

He is 4th best in key passes after Xavi,ozil,iniesta..explains his level of chance creation. He has a free role there,he often plays as a AM and CM game controller.

Dont mind the 84% then, they are probably guilty of not being penetrative enough with their passing so someone who forces the issue probably isnt a bad thing.

Post by Adit Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:09 am

You are right

He has 4 times more key passes than iniesta (12) and as much as key passes as xavi (46),borja (45)..and twice as much as fabregas (22) and only 7 less than Leo Messi (53).Best is Ozil with 56.

so

1,Ozil
2,Messi
3,Xavi
4,Borja

still fourth

note that both xavi and Borja plays alot deeper.Borja plays for a much inferior team, how is this not a impressive statistics?

He's 11th in LigaBBVA

and 57th in Europe's top 5 leagues.

Try looking at a relevant statistic like key passes per game, because players like Xavi, Iniesta, Ozil and co have all played much less than Valero.

Villarreal are struggling to stay above the relegation zone.

So his performance has been the best of a shit lot. Not hard to look good when surrounded by garbage.

What logic is that?

If anything it is way harder to play with a struggling team than play with bunch of world class players.

Messi struggling with NT,Etoo underperforming for cameroon,Nocerino having a better career at AC milan,Ozils better statistics at Real madrid...etc all suggests that way.

Again,he has more Key passes than the likes of Xabi Alonso,so thats damn fine for me.

I took total Kep passes per game, thats why he is 4th.

Will join Malaga if they go in CL.

Atletico has tried to sign him for a while as well, he has options.

-_-

Borja-Cazorla association is the most fluid thing in football after Xavi-Iniesta Very Happy. They were fantastic last year, Borja doing the midfield general, and Cazorla the transition forward. they can replicate that for Malaga. Although i think they need another forward, not that scrub Tello, a SS like Rossi.

Toulalan-Borja

their midfield is extremely good mole, i mean Adrian-Salvio-Juanfran are the reason why Pathetico climb themselves up the table to within touching distance of CL

the only one id replace in that team is Arda Turan that guy is crap as hell, can see why Atleti want Bojan, they probably want him to replace Arda in the starting line up

Borja and Arda have very different roles tho. I think Atletico is looking for a mature midfield general, there arent many in Spain, and out of the big 2, Borja might be the best playmaker.

According to Cadena Ser if Malaga qualify for CL they will try to sign Tello, possibly on loan. Apparently his buyout clause is 10m. Personally I hope Shiekh Abdullah f*cks right off...

Arda is pretty much a CM, Borja plays something similar no??

Arda does nothing in a game bar lose the ball, Borja would seriously upgrade that team to the next level
