Chelsea are definitely good enough to beat them 2-0 at the Bridge. Blitz them like how they did to Valencia.
LMAO,is that you Gary ?
Chelsea having to attack will suit Napoli down to the ground in the 2nd leg, that's when Napoli play their best football.
I see a score draw,1-1.
You are right in a sense, because if Chelsea have the same defence in a fortnight, there is no way they won't concede.

Seriously? Napoli just 2 weeks ago were 12th in the serie a. They only climbed up since 5 of the teams around them dropped points.
In other words there current form has been there worst in 2 years.
As for there defense yes it never was impressive as they always were an attacking team with an aging backline.
Nonetheless with Chelsea's euro experience and Mazzari with a touchline ban they were expected to go through.

Called it and said Chelsea would get spanked
Don't see much changing at home. Napoli only need one goal and then to to sit back. Hard to see Chelsea progressing from here.

Recheck your research. Napoli have been voicing between 12th and 6th for over 2 months now.

If Napoli sit back they will suffer more, considering the unbalance between their attack and their defense.

These tables don't provide the cumulative data points on points differentiation. For example in week 11 Napoli was stated 7th there but in actuality was 10th being tied with 3 other teams.
So in other words Napoli have been fighting it out with not the top 7 but with lower table clubs despite there tremendous early season form.
Plus the way they have been playing in the A is pretty abysmal

Re: Napoli - Chelsea
This tie can go either way now.
Napoli has the quality to hold on, but Chelsea could surprise them.
The ignorance of some people here who claim Napoli are an average team is baffling. They are not a great team, but are not average by any stretch of imagination. They are well suited for cups more than leagues, and as such are dangerous in do or die matches. They can beat the big boys in a regular basis but lose to the minnows as well.
The first 11 includes players that many top teams want or can use. Hell, even Barca and Madrid can use at least one player from Napoli and both those teams are the strongest around according to the masses.
Even pretending Napoli's team is average when they were clear superiors over both Chelsea and City is showing your limited football knowledge.
Not great, but sure as math are good.
Oh, alot of people are also butthurt Napoli only cost 30 Mil and their wages are a fraction of their team's wages.

Re: Napoli - Chelsea
Napoli will be more comfortable playing away. In Naples they have to attack and allow some openings. In London they will play pure counter attack. If Chelsea had a chance to win it was at the San Paolo where the Napoli players were nervous and afraid to make mistake.

Re: Napoli - Chelsea
This is one entertaining game.
Napoli getting owned in the air for both goals, Inler was a technically fantastic half volley.
Torres coming on....I think this signals the end of Chelsea's hopes lol

Yeah great game so far. Can't take my eyes off of it.
Inler with a screamer! superb technique I agree
Torres has looked sharp since coming on. his control has been causing problems.

Re: Napoli - Chelsea
Yeah, Torres done decent tbf.
Napoli have nothing like the counter attack treat they had in the first leg, the first pass is never on quickly and they are getting none of the movement they got last game where Lavezzi and Cavani both made runs overloading the left side.
They still look dangerous though.
But if they lose, they only have themselves to blame. The Terry goal and penalty were very avoidable.

LOL No
They lack quality (only 1 goal from open play here) and worst, they are still bad at the back by CL standards.

Re: Napoli - Chelsea
Napoli have been giving the ball away in midfield way too much.. Just passing it to the Chelsea players.
Drogba should have had a penalty right there. Aronica held onto him like he was trying to save him from falling off a cliff or something...
