FC St. Pauli
FC St. Pauli is a Hamburg-based football club founded in 1910, and formerly part of the "Hamburg-St. Pauli Turnverein" which was founded in 1862. For almost 30 years FC St. Pauli was the footballing part of this general sports club until it was formerly founded in 1910 and seperated from it's parent club in 1924.
The FC St. Pauli is known in Germany as "everyone's favored 2nd team", which means that while the actual primary supporters still place the club quite highly in Germany, almost nobody wants to see the FC St. Pauli lose.
The club is mostly noted for it's off-the-pitch antics rather than actually playing football, being the first club to stake a public stance against racism, homophobia as well as for equal rights of women and men, as well as immigrants and citizens.
The club's colours are brown and white, the club's nicknames are "die Freibeuter der Liga", which means "the league's buccaneers".
Currently, the club is being coached by André Schubert and is doing reasonably well in the 2nd Bundesliga, and will most likely at least reach a relegation spot to the 1st flight, though it might be argued whether it's really doing the club any good, being consistently broke.
Though financially, St. Pauli is in kind of an upswing and might actually manage to strengthen the squad reasonably if promoted again.

Re: FC St. Pauli
Notable players:
Goalies:
Benedikt Pliquett
Defenders:
Carlos Zambrano
Fabio Morena (Captain)
Midfielders:
Fabian Boll - one of the only semiprofessionals in a all-pro team, Boll is a policeman by trade and still works part time as a cop.
Charles Takyi - flashy, but kinda ineffective forward
(I'll add more later, when I find a couple more pics)

Love Sankt Pauli
I visited Hamburg in 2010 for the Celtic and St Pauli party
Amazing supporters. I see they opened their new stand recently.

Re: FC St. Pauli
viva very important match against Kaiserslautern today. A win would put you back in the hunt of top 3 and a draw or loss would be bad, as only 5 more games left to play now

I thought Cottbus, Bielefeld, Dresden, Bochum, Dusseldorf, 1860 are stronger than Greuther Furth, Paderborn. Where the hell is Rostok these days.

Just checked the standings, isn't looking too good. Whats going on? What are the chances St Pauli avoid going down another tier?

Either that, or you'll receive a wonderful birthday present while destroying RWO's treble dreams on the first day of season

Don't worry, with that post I increased the possibility of embarassment against FC Nöttingen.
