Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
VILLAS BOAS TEMPTS INTER
The blitz by Branca and there is the first yes.
And the 15 million? Moratti is thinking about it.
The technical director has had the OK from the Portuguese
The president has Mou's student in mind and is ready to pay the clause to Porto.
Milan - A weekend of work. Massimo Moratti has had his main men working for a new coach more seriously starting Friday. Marco Branca and Ausilio are on the mission and they have increased contacts with a man who is the clear number one choice by the Inter fans: Andre Villas Boas.
Temptation The 33 year-old coach of Porto has been highly respected in Palazzo Saras for a long time so obviously that he is in the thoughts of all the directors at Inter even before Leonardo chose Paris. But now the only real obstacle is the clause of 15 million which Porto have blocked the former assistant of Jose Mourinho. Massimo Moratti is very tempted to pay the fee for one of the talented coaches in the world, so much so that after the treble with Porto, he has been linked to many clubs including Chelsea and even Arsenal.
Villas silent, agent instrumental This explains the blitz of Branca who has kept a good relationship with Villas Boas after the period of July 2008 and October 2009 when the Portuguese spent his days at Pinetina. The coach hasn't leaked anything because the situation is not simple. As a child, he was a fan of Porto and in a year he has became the idol of his city. He would love to stay even if saying no to the three top European clubs is not easy. That is why Villas Boas doesn't want to say anything before a certain check from the Inter chairman. In this sense, there are instrumental statements coming from his agent, Carlos Goncalves: "Andre is only thinking about Porto and other rumors are nonsense."
Doubts With the usual doubt related to the fact that for Villas Boas, Moratti will have to spend a figure for him instead of buying a good player. Perhaps a chat with the minister of finance Rinaldo Ghelfi was held with the Nerazzurri president. Ghelfi knows that at this time, Inter can also pay for a coach. Especially when it comes to one who knows Inter and the Moratti family and one who can make a big difference and work with younger players. Villas Boas can start a new project at Inter. Many have failed (including Juve) and have beaten the two big competitors in Chelsea and Arsenal.
Idea Guarin It is not impossible that Branca could take the opportunity to meet with the president of Porto Pinto Da Costa and maybe even to talk about one of the many players whom Inter could be interested in. Among those there is also Fredy Guarin, the 24 year-old Colombian midfielder who scored 5 goals in Europa League last year where they won. Everything will be decided by Moratti who, with other candidates in mind such as Delio Rossi and Gasperini, will close the casting early next week.

Re: Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
thats insane,
i mean mourihno has a release clause of 10-12 million.
dont remember exactly.
im thinking its waaay too much, for this ammount we could get a player or even 2.
in other hand this being the understudy of Mou he'd be able to achive similiar/close to results.. and is a coach for the future..
unless he stays with us for a longer term.. 4-5 years at least.. i dont think it'd be worth it.

Re: Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
as long the money doesnt affect our financial ability to buy players then why dont we give it a go.. AVB has the winning mentality plus he's quite familiar with la pinetina.
i dont know about the long term thou, everyone knows our president.

Re: Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
if we add an extra 15 mill to our Benega or Sanchez offers im sure we get them,
and you're right i mean i'd also love to see him there, im pretty sure he'll do great. but thats a lot of money..

Re: Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo believes the club will have a new coach in place within a few days, but was reluctant to reveal who is likely to take over at San Siro.
The appointment is still shrouded in mystery, with Sinisa Mihajlovic having ruled himself out of the running on Saturday night, leaving the 2009-10 treble winners hoping to convince Porto boss Andre Villas-Boas to move to Serie A.
However, with the 33-year-old's agent having claimed that the deal would "make no sense," it is still unclear as to who is likely to be brought in.
However, Paolillo has stepped in to offer some clarity on the current situation as the Nerazzurri scramble to find a replacement for Leonardo, who left for Paris Saint-Germain.
"For the moment we cannot say as there is no significant developments, but there's no need to wait much longer we you will know him [the new coach] next week," he told the press, as reported by Tuttomercatoweb.com.
"As well as the coach situation, we are also looking to sign a talented youngster."
Italian coaches Delio Rossi, Gian Piero Gasperini and former Chelsea hero Gianfranco Zola have also all been linked with the role at San Siro

Re: Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
Goddamnit , VB would be perfect to rebuild Inter..
I can understand him why he wants to lead this team into the CL.
The problem is that we can't have a "1 year manager".. If we have that then expect a very poor mercato.

Re: Branca has the OK from Villas-Boas
I feel kinda pessimistic about all this... we ain't giving 15 million for this guy, even though he would be great. I am hating all this situation..the Coach thing is taking us too much time and concentration.
Instead of now beginning to look at the possibilities in changing/developing our squad we have to AGAIN think about the Coach
