Yeah they're in great form atm but it really wouldnt make sense for me tbh..

Prandelli's project of building a team in time for the world cup would go nowhere then.

It would make sense to integrate Giovinco and Balotelli and other young players into the lineup and give them a full decent run in the Euros and give them that big tournament experience rather than going back to square one.

And I dont see Italy's chances in the Euros dramatically improving either if he selected the likes of Totti and Miccoli.

I can understand that Italy's talent pool is nowhere near Germany for example when they sent a young team to the WC but is nowhere as bad either.Prandelli is doing a good job of it and there's no need to make desperate changes.

Italian strikers are like wine ,they just get better the older they get perfect examples are Di Natale and Miccoli.

Di Natale will probably get a deserved call up. It's not a good run of form after 2 seasons of top scorer and in contention for 3 in a row.

Miccoli has been fantastic too, Totti is playing well. I understand building for the future but if you have world class players in the present then it's foolish not to use them. And it's the Euro's not the World cup. Then Italy can give the younger players a chance between 2012-2014.
