Can't see us winning this one with our depleted midfield and no Ibrahimovic ... a draw could happen though .

We are going to play with reserves i think, we have Udinese on the weekend.
-------------------Amelia-------------------
Zambrotta - Bonera - Mexes - Antonini
--------------------Ambrosini------------
------Nocerino--------------------Seedorf
-----------------------Urby------------------
-----------Ses---------------Maxi----------
Not enough quality there..

I'm not sure that we need to rest our entire backline.
Mexes is understandable though because Nesta is out.
Antonini played against Napoli, surely Mesbah gets a shot Against Juve?
Also, switch Urby and Seedorf.

I hate to be a pessimist here but...
With injuries and suspensions the squad is in CRISIS mode. This is the worse possible time to play Juve in the cup. Going out of the cup, things looking ever more bleak for the CL tie against Arsenal.
The best possible thing to hope for this year is a relative amount of consistency in the league to attain a full CL birth.

Yes i would rest T.S in this game, but that won't happen. The guy just got back from a groin problem last week and he's going to have to contend with Juve- Udi-Arsenal all within 7 days.. you want to risk breaking him down?

Re: MILAN v JUVENTUS ~ Coppa Italia Pre/Post Match Thread
we gotta protect our player, normally i wished allegri to rest our top players like thiago silva, ibra van bommel to rest, but as our current fixtures are game of huge importance, we cant...
injury situation is getting worse. ... i dont know what to make of this game. the only positives i can think of is that... el sharawwy maxi will probably get more playing time,
im more worried about arsenal game than this but since its with juve i wished we had enough players back from injury to atleast play with more comfort.

I really don't want to see us play full strength against Juve, its simply not beneficial for us to do so atm.
Ever since the Derby, we've lost a player to injury every week. 3 games in 7 days and we only have 30+ players to rely on in midfield, one of Ambrosini, MvB and Seedorf wont come out've this in playing condition. We are going to play against two of the fastest counter attacking teams in Europe aka Udi and Arsenal. It makes no sense for me to play either 1 of them in this fixture because we will need at least 2 of them for the 1st tie in good condition against Arsenal.
We have good primavera players who play for National u21-20 side i think its time we use them, Chirstante, De Sciglio and Calvano ( hopeful lol ) is physically ready.

Re: MILAN v JUVENTUS ~ Coppa Italia Pre/Post Match Thread
Surely , we have a real problem with injuries here . and most importantly. If "Milan history" has taught us anything ; oh it will cost us.
So , i think a good option is, do what Lazio did to us , to Juventus. I know it's so not Milan , but common , this midfield of Van Bommel , Ambrosini and Nocerino is like having the three musketeers on the pitch!!
Doesn't matter how Allegri plays his tactics and system. These are original defending midfielders and they are not accustomed to attack.
Put it better , you can put horns into a cow to make it seem like a bull , but it's still a cow
You can't ask of them to create or hold on to attacking play .
So , again , with this midfield we have and our missing players , i think it wouldn't be so wise to try and play the way we used to. It simply won't work .

It's the Coppa Italia guys...who cares? We have far more important games to worry about this month and with these injuries, we're probably better off resting some of our better players and losing. I don't know, maybe some of you guys care about this cup (for some unknown reason) but I seriously couldn't care less at this point.

Am I horrible person for thinking that this game is practically a gift in which we can even up the injury tallies between the teams?
Pity Flamini and Gattuso aren't around at the moment.

Man shut up...
We couldn't beat Siena at home with a fully fit squad...
Even with Milan's injury-stricken squad...they are way better than Siena...
if we want a 3-0
Conte's gonna have to makes some changes & give the team some mystery
Elia really should play...like wise Estigarriba
Elia has a point to prove & Esti always shows class regardless of who the opposition is...A real classy player
Interms of striker...Rest Matri & start Quags & Del Piero or Giaccherini & Del Piero...
ALL IN ALL:
ONE THING I'M SURE BOTH FAN (MILANISTAS & JUVENTINIS) CAN AGREE ONE
THE WILL BE WAY BETTER THAN EL CLASSICO!

Dude i don't know what planet you from, but this fixture is going to be ugly & brutal. We supplementing our midfield with dm's and we are going to play long balls to Maxi.

Re: MILAN v JUVENTUS ~ Coppa Italia Pre/Post Match Thread
I agree with Dante, though I would emphasise less the importance of our opponent than of taking an opportunity to learn as much as we can about how we should handle Juventus when we meet them in the league. Failing in the Coppa Italia won't matter to me if we learn from our mistakes and gain a confidence boosting victory in the league, however if we achieve victory in neither the Coppa or the League it may be potentially demoralising so we can't take any of these games lightly, either as events in themselves or opportunities to test out strategies and the limits of our available squad.
