Montreal offer for Del Piero

Alessandro Del Piero has reportedly been offered a huge $5m per season contract to join Montreal Impact.

The veteran’s contract with Juventus expires in the summer and it has already been confirmed it will not be renewed, but he would like to continue playing.

Many different options have been mentioned, most of them abroad with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Zenit St Petersburg making offers.

However, Del Piero has hinted he would like a move to North America, where the MLS clubs have welcomed the likes of David Beckham and Thierry Henry.

It is reported Montreal Impact have prepared a $5m per season contract to join the Canadian Major League.
