Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
I love Barca, I wouldnt demand anything.
But I would understand if someone else did.
But yeah, if im Bojan, I would sit down with Pep, and flat out say, I cant sit around and not play. I dont believe I will be used more, I dont believe I will get my chances, so I want to leave. You dont have to sell me, but you can if you want, but either way I need to play. I would probably prefer a loan, because its Barca, its my home club.

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
I don't know about demanding anything, but if a concrete offer came in and it promised regular playing time, I'd accept it.
Considering that my club is after at least one more forward (meaning three, possibly four, of whom are simply better than I am -- one way or another, they each offer much more than I can), I'd definitely accept the offer.
A loan deal (buy-back clause or otherwise) at this point would be the least preferred option. If I am to leave Barca, I'd want to know that I'd proven myself in a way that would have them want to come and get me. I don't know that I'd quite like to return simply because my contract stipulates it or because I'm a good piece of business.
If I am finally leaving Barca, I'm leaving to make a career for myself and grow to be a better player in the process.
.... Fabregas-style.

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
Bojan needs:
1- CONFIDENCE
2- get better Physically!
---------------
Luis Enrique = Confidence
Seria A = Better physically
Conculsion: Loan to Roma!

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
Ofcourse without a shadow of a doubt I would move if I were in Bojan's shoes.
After the disgusting way the club and Pep have treated Bojan he should move on a permanent basis.
None of the BS loans.

I agree with Alex 100%. Bojan's loyalty has not been rewarded at all.

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
How would you two suggest that FCB should have rewarded him? He has been asked to play when he was needed. While much of the world has turned on him (see TheOffside's unrelenting ridicule of him, for example), Pep has claimed him as a backbone of the club, never relenting in his support.
How is this mistreatment of a 20-year-old who is fantastically talented but somewhat undependable in his performance lately?

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
i just read an official interview with rosell and he said that players groomed at La masia will only leave on loan or with an option of repurchase, so hopefully bojan should be coming back from roma in a few years given that he performs well there. i also read an unofficial report that he is going for 10 million euros with a buyback clause of 12 million which is only 20% more, which is a fair deal imo.

The question is, when are we going to buy him back? A year? Two? Three?spanky489 wrote:i just read an official interview with rosell and he said that players groomed at La masia will only leave on loan or with an option of repurchase, so hopefully bojan should be coming back from roma in a few years given that he performs well there. i also read an unofficial report that he is going for 10 million euros with a buyback clause of 12 million which is only 20% more, which is a fair deal imo.

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
Given how many of the other loanees have come back I really don't think he is. Also, why would Roma accept a buy-back of 12M?

Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
He should be loaned
Luis Enrique will help him every step of the way
and i'm sure Roma will buy other Spanish players now,
so he won't feel out of place in the slighest

A small correction. He did say that but it would apply only to the most promising ones. Of course I am quite sure Bojan is included in that category and we all sure hope that Thiago is very much.
Re: Put yourself in Bojan's shoes
Yes he should move. Not permanently but on a buy back clause. He needs to play regularly and show the world what he is capable of. Just think of Sebastian Giovinco since he left Juventus. The problem is that I am not sure if he will actually get to be a regular starter at Roma in spite of Luis Enrique. Therefore he should look at all his options.
