i'm not complaining or anything but, we have too many midfielders now. especially if we do buy a DM too.

thats, Arteta, Diaby, Cazorla, Coquelin, Ramsey, Sahin if he comes, and the returning Wilshere, Frimpong, and Rosicky. Not to mention Oxlade-Chamberlain is going to be moving into the central midfield as well


on the flipside this is great for us because we have an annual injury crisis where half of the team is on the training table for half of the season.

Well AW ruled out M'Vila earlier in the summer, but things might have changed with Song's sale.

Our midfield has Rosikcy, Wilshere, Diaby, Frimpong and Ramsey who have been victims of long term injuries. Rosicky took forever to find some of his pre-injury form, but is now injured again. Diaby is a injury waiting to happen anyway. Frimpong has had two long term ACL injuries in consecutive seasons and Wilshere has been out for over a year now. As seen in case of Ramsey and Rosicky, players coming from long injury lay offs have a tough time getting back to the level they were in.

Similar double injury to Sagna and raw Jenkinson means Coquelin/Yennaris would have to play as makeshift RBs. Djourou there was a disaster last season.

Arteta had a chequered injury record at Everton, and though he managed to keep fit for most of last season, he was off injured in the run-in and not to forget, he is 30 now as is Rosicky.

That leaves us with Cazorla. Only. Obviously, we don't want to play him or Oxlade Chamberlain for 50 games a season. We need that sqaud depth, being involved in 4 competitions annually.

Why is everyone talking in the hypothetical? Sahin deal is done.

I dont think signing Sahin + another DM (Biglia would be nice) will be an issue at all.

Madrid just confimed that sahin is on his way to Ingerland

Former Chelsea boss Mourinho feels a spell in England will help to develop the 23-year-old's game, but he is refusing to be drawn into a debate as to where Sahin may end up.
