i can understand people having a problem with ramos.. but seeing that iker and neuer were so close that either couldve won it his place is quite fair.

and alonso? he was and is our most important outfield player ffs.. hes been the main reason for the form we have been in the past 1 season and a half..

The team doesn't really make sense in terms of the backline. If they were going for a best 4 defenders it should be: Alves, Thiago Silva, Pique, Vidic. If its meant to be 2 fullbacks, 2 CBs: Alves, Marcelo, Pique, Thiago Silva

Seriously too... Casillas again? In there only on reputation... wasn't even the 2nd best goalie in Europe last season.

For me its:

Neuer
Alves - Pique - Thiago Silva - Marcelo
Xavi - Alonso - Iniesta
Ronaldo - Messi - RVP

Not Saying he should be there but I 've said it for a while now.....you guys underrate Ramos.

It's general consensus here to underreate Ramos.

Stop acting like if he's a Sunday leauge player and watch a Real Madrid game ffs and watch what he does for the defence.

That being said......he's been given that role for about 3 months now and only on specific occasions but Thiago Silva has been playing CB for the entire season and should be there.

Glad to see coaches and players recongnise his quality Very Happy

Alves - Vidic - Thiago Silva - Abidal
Xavi - Busquets - Iniesta
Messi - Rooney - C.Ronaldo

Rooney & Vidic were best players at manutd who reached CL Final & won the EPL.. so logically they deserve to be included in this lineup.

I agree with you though, but you must admit Real fans set themselves up for the fail, no one would honestly believe Ramos is an average player nor that is he not comparable to the best defenders out there.

What everyone is saying though is that there were clearly better defenders than him all year round and his inclusion is an injustice to those very defenders that have been playing at a higher lvl than him at CB for most of the year and with better consistently.

For me personally this is just a list of glamour players that coaches choose based on ability and fame, i can understand how such a list could materialize. NT Coaches would rarely have time to watch certain players week in week out, the only players they are concerned about are their own.

I don't agree with you about Silva as he was solid as a rock with Brazil even as he had an out of form and past his prime Lucio or the "centreback" David Luiz beside him and ask any Brazil fan how good he was.

I also don't agree with you how Pepe manhandled Ibra as he was our best player in the first leg where Allegri played his worst and undeveloped system which was a 4-3-3 with Pirlo-Gattuso and Seedorf. In the first leg he was also being heavily marked but made superb plays for us.

2nd leg I disagree as multiple times he beat Pepe yet Carvalho and Marcelo did well to cover him.

I agree with you about Hummels as he was a joke in the beginning of last season's bundesliga yet the German populace do their best to hide that and always talk about his ball playing skills.

Vidic Ferdinand? Ferdinand can't be mentioned as he was laughable as times while Vidic did get owned by Messi yet was world class the whole other season.

I don't agree with Ramos being there yes, but I agree with you on how people are being harsh as Ramos to me was very good last year. But this may be my bias talking since I love Ramos especially after his world class world cup.

I would argue that Busquets should be there instead of Alonso and Valdes against Casillas but I would respect your opinion well enough if you disagree.
