Lass stopped Messi, he was the man of the match for Madrid, i have been saying this since the game was over 3 - 1. To say he was better than his usual against Barca is a crime. He was the best Madrid player during this classico, the second was Kaka.

He did actually, Messi barely managed to get rid of the ball when Lass closed on him, but it was the stupidity of Pepe and a little from Ramos that earned barca the equalizer. Lass was not actually marking him but when Messi tore between the other madrid players and Lass had to close in on him he made Messi sweat to get rid of the ball. That assist was lucky but well played. And finally, needless to say, Iker was again a hero, this ball would have been saved if it were for any other decent goalkeeper, but let's not go there right now.

That's why 4 - 3 - 3 wont cut it for madrid against Barca. The team work is lacking and the quality of players doesnt allow it. They have to many offense oriented players at Madrid.

And yet you're oblivious to the fact that Callejon outperforms Cronaldo every time he steps onto the pitch. You disappoint me.

Lass was the best defensive midfielder at Madrid and MOTM for Madrid, but Kaka did all the offensive work. Yes we had little chances, but he was there leading everyone of them, taking the rebounds from the defense, leading the counters, shooting with both legs, trying hard to do something. Sure he was owned / stopped by Puyol but Puyol had to go from sleeping mode to God Mode and many times he had to double mark him with Pique.

That said, I expect alot more from Kaka; i dont care if he's the best or second best Madrid player, but i expect much more from him.
I name three conditions for Kaka to break hell loose:

1) Kaka needs to be a starter not a benchwarmer
2) Kaka needs to play a CAM or CM role. He needs to be the focal point of every counter or play and not just share touches with Alonso, Ronaldo, Ozil, Benzema, or whoever. He needs to be given the freedom. Simple, Mourinho tell him, go and play man, do your things.
3) The threat coming from Ozil needs to be extinguished. Both players are suffering, mourinho needs to sit with both of them, and make it a point that Kaka will start, Ozil will be a sub. Ozil will share playing time with Kaka and Di Maria.

If those three conditions are met, Kaka would be back in hot form.

Callejon does NOT outperform Ronaldo.
He is playing very well and that's it.
Just in Cup games and CL games when we rested our players.

And in La Liga he played well against Sevilla.
But to say he out performs him is ignorant.

Him getting owned time and again by "useless" Busquets, "past it" Puyol , making basic passes and shooting one tame shot which Valdes made look more dangerous than it was.

Dont know whats worse, the notion that Kaka had a good game or Lass shut Messi down lol
