Matri vs Quagliarella

I can't believe this hasn't been done.. who would you start or both considering juve is currently playing with 1 out and out striker... the out of form matri with the big transfer fee or the fans favourite quagliarella coming off a major injury smoking

Quagliarella and ADP.

Both very creative, can create their own chances and finish.

Or try someone creative behind Toni as hes just an older slower but better version of matri and more experienced too.

Quagliarella purely because he makes his own goals more often.

I don't know why Toni doesn't get used. His style doesn't require speed.

Conte's does, how is Toni going to pressure a defender the same way that Matri does?

His size and strength helps. Matri's not exactly fast either. Plus, Toni would convert more cross chances into goals.

The thing is when we see Matri playing the lone striker and he is dropping or pushing out wide, I have no idea if it is Conte's idea or Matri's. If it is Conte's then Toni obviously cannot do either of these things as Matri even struggles too. Matri may not be fast but he is faster than Toni in my opinion.

Toni would certainly convert more crosses but Juventus also struggles in this area too.

Yeah I understand. Toni shouldn't start but he's an ideal impact sub and Juve really need to convert more crosses considering Conte is so focused on wingplay.

Matri isn't out of form, he just lacks the service from his teammates. Remember that matri went "out of form" just ehwn vucinic got injured. You expect pepe or giach/estti to deliver that killer pass like vucinic does?

Now I know what u gonna say, we have pirlo, we have marchisio, etc. But they play in a deep midfield position not in a true attacking link-up display if u get my drift.

Matri needs to play with another SS striker, in this case vuci,quag, adp. Period.back to work!

Me too but that leaves the bench thin and full of like 6 wingers

Wouldn't mind seeing Boriello in the middle of that

Edit- but we know that Quagliarella will be mainly/only used in the middle of the 4-3-3
