It does make some sense to go for Maicon because its a short term fix to pair up with Ivanovic and it keeps the window open for Kane to get into the team.

I thought about that aspect myself and that was the only rationale I could conjure up honestly. I wouldn't mind at all if that exact scenario were the case, but would either of Ivanovic or Maicon be too happy with being benched while the other is playing? Something tells me no.

These reports have really intensified over the last half hour or so. If it's true, I'm not sure how I feel about it. Don't really know anything about him, but from what I've read, he's a number 10...and with us already having Mata (whose best position is playing as the 10 as we know) and Hazard (who claims that's where he wants to play as well), I'm not sure this transfer makes much sense...

According to Gil and Ganso he can play CM and is a lot like Iniesta.

We can always play the xmas treee formation with him then.

Turns out Oscar won't be moving, at least before the olympics.

Been doing some research on Oscar and I am well and truely on the bandwagon, he would be better and cheaper than Modric and he looks like the No.10 for Brazil coming into the 2014 wc. It would be great to buy him and play him in an Iniesta role behind HazMat.

Someone needs to get DL4 to have a word in Oscars ear to pursuade him to join.

If we field both Mata & Hazard, then in a 4-2-3-1 Mata/Hazard in the middle or on the left will make room for Ramires or Sturridge on the right

So either scenario eliminates Marin. And if we move for Hulk, then I see him as a direct replacement for Sturridge on the RW

And if Oscar comes, where does he fit in? The 2 DMs at the back? Most probably rotated with HazMat but then again, why pay 25millions?

Play both Mata and Hazard in behind Torres in a xmas tree. Not wingers but attacking mids. Oscar can take the third CM spot. That is the way I see it anyway.

I think its more of a rotational squad we are building... going for the treble!!
