How long can Callejon be at Madrid for?
I see a Canales future for him. Promising, although much more established and possibly talented, player gets signed by Madrid, not by need but because he's Spanish (probably). In spite of his obvious talent, he can't break into a well established first eleven. A year later, after Madrid sign Hazard, he looks for a future elsewhere to get regular minutes and improve as a footballer.

to be fair Callejon is four years older than Canales
I expect Canales to turn out better than Callejon (as long as he stays away from Madrid)

Well we can't really be sure what might happen. He's playing well and has all the qualities to be a great squad player who gets a decent amount of minutes, maybe even more. I hope it works out.
We've been getting rid of Canteneros for far too long

I dont know if you noticed, but you already got rid of this one once before, you want to try and get rid of the same player twice?

A mother tiger drops her cubs from a cliff in order to teach them to be tough
Same applies here. Them playing elsewhere is part of their learning experience. It also shows them that other clubs are just not as good.

Re: How long can Callejon be at Madrid for?
depends.
if callejon is happy with being a squad player/rotation player, start cdr and such then yes callejon will stay in madrid for a long time. this is his home.
i dont think he ever assumed he would start over ronaldo, benzema, higuain, or mous love child di maria.

Re: How long can Callejon be at Madrid for?
A team made up with just Canteranos from Madrid would be pretty sick tbh, think of the team they could make right now o.0
EDIT:
-------------Casillas---
-- Arbeloa -Javi Garcia - Juanfran
- Granero-Borja Valero - Mata - Dani Parejo
--- Callejon - Negredo - Soldado
Sarabia, Morata, Nacho, Raul, Guti others I forget about...

De la Red would have won the Balon d'Or if he was still playing by now....Jokes aside, Barcelona's dominance wouldn't have lasted more than one season if De la Red was around. He was godly

This is like saying Alexis wasn't signed because of need. 2 wingers for 2 positions = enough?

I mean, I guess he played in Madrid youth for a little bit, but he isn't a youth product of ours. He came when he was like 17 I think

Re: How long can Callejon be at Madrid for?
Callejon turned out to become a very very good player and we brought him back.I can see him being the first choice Sub ahead of kaka for CR7 and Di maria. He loves madrid ,he is a madridista,is getting enough playing time, his home city is madrid....why leave?
Re: How long can Callejon be at Madrid for?
@Vibe Raul came to Madrid when he was 15 or something, can't remember what age but he played for our cantera

Problem, Cristiano?
I think it's fair to say that he became the player he is today because of the better club in town.omarish wrote:@Vibe Raul came to Madrid when he was 15 or something, can't remember what age but he played for our cantera
