When I saw "GL's best GK" I imagined we would see names like Enyeama, Al-Habsi, Krul, Neuer, De Gea. GKs we overrate a ton. Not these.

Playing behind the Schalke defense, this was actually an amazing rate. You really should look at the first leg of the CL semi Schalke vs ManUtd, and you'd understand. Without Neuer, that match would have probably ended 0:13 instead of 0:2.

I understand that my friend, i did not post that to prove Neuer < the others, i just illustrated that this best Gk 2011 is incomplete, because as far as i have seen Abbiati had the best goal to save ratio, but he is not even mentioned, even though he had a far better season statistically than Iker and Neuer.

Skill wise Iker and Neuer are above him, and imo better keepers but that doesn't mean he should be excluded just because he isn't as hyped as Iker & Neuer.

Ah, okay. I didn't want to take anything away from Abbiati, I just wanted to shed light on Neuer's problem at Schalke. After all, that belonged to the reasons why he left his childhood club, too. He realized he'd need a bigger club to be able to develop further.

Just to clarify about the list, it was obvious it would only be between Iker and Neuer, so I just filled it out with the FIFA nominees... if you want to see specific players in nominate them in the proper thread! Very Happy

Abbiati definitely deserved a place on this list, he actually won the award for best GK in Serie A last season.
