Very good display today a part from letting the run in behind him for their first goal.
He is very good allround and that could give him the edge over PVA.
Very happy with our LB spot right now, we should not need to buy one for the next decade or so.

Agreed, it was good to see the young guys getting a run today and i'm glad we put that above getting a win as I believe it signals our intentions in looking towards the future

Seems like Bertrand is one of those players Ron Gourlay was talking about greeting a new contract.
He is going to be Cole successor, i really respect Cole for doing so much for Bertrand and being a tutor on and off the pitch.

Reports around that Ryan has signed a new contract which will see him here till 2017. He will be 28 when the contract expires.

So got 82 minutes in Villa's 2-2 draw with Liverpool today. Didn't have a keen eye on the game but he put in a solid debut by all accounts.

Would it be too unrealistic to assume that Bertrand would be sold as well as Ashley Cole?
