Talking about the u23 NT, I would use this line-up, considering current form:

--------------------------- Rafael (Neto) ---------------------------
Rafael (Danilo) ---- CB1 (CBc) ------ CB2 (CBc) -------- Alex
----------------------Sandro (Fernando or Romulo) ------------
-------------- Filipe Soutto (Danilo) -------------------------------
Lucas -------------- -------- Ganso (Oscar) -------------- Neymar
---------------------------- Damião (Pato) ---------------------------

That's exactly eighteen players. The front four looks pretty much settled, since Oscar can play both central and on the right wing, as well as Lucas, and Pato can be deployed on the wings as well.

Defense is a problem, tho. I mean, the twins are the problem. They're great and all, but way too injury prone, even tho I'm assuming Danilo will cover both RB and CDM it's either 4 CBs or 4 FBs.

rsinatra wrote:one thing that disappointed me about ganso on the CWC final was some attitude. instead of try to lead the team, tell the others to keep their heads up and fight, like he did on the paulista final last year, he didn't work as hard as he could. he gave some great passes, but he was way too quiet without the ball, and he was one of those who were waaaaaaaaaaay too nice to the barcelona players. i mean, after the match on an interview he looked like a guy who had just played a friendly or something... that was really disappointing.

I felt the same way. Theres no doubt Ganso is a ''craque'' but he really needs to do more work off the ball and track back more often, he's always walking on defense.

Exactly.. I think he will be slowly improving , but he looked way too lazy. This week at Cartão Verde they showed a clip of how Santos couldn't keep the ball at the CWC, and guess who messed it up? Ganso. He waited for the ball to get to him instead of going after it, so Abidal or something ran and got the ball.

He unfortunately reminds of players like Ronaldinho, who lose the ball and do nothing about it.

But I mean, he also had this leader attitude on the Paulista final, he was amazing holding the ball and getting the team calm when we were down to 9 men or something.. but this time it was as if he was somewhere else, completely unworried about what was happening to his club..

He is a craque though, agreed Smile.

btw, here is this week's Cartão Verde, talking about Santos, Brazilian football's reaction to the final, etc.. very nice Smile http://tvcultura.cmais.com.br/cartaoverde

lol you mean the bald guy with the santos shirt? dont listen to him, he is a guest, and a santos fan; he clearly doesnt know shit about football in the sense lol.. its birner, xico sá and the host guy who know their shit.

but dude, all the corinthians fans, palmeiras, sao paulo, many people were against santos..

anyway, i think they made some good points there. just like this week's tabelinha with juca kfouri...

i think it's funny that some people call santos the 2nd best in the world lol.

Roque Santa Cruz was offered to Cruzeiro, but they decided not to sign him.

They probably avoided signing a player that would cost a lot salary-wise but would spend too much time injured.

Walter is their priority

Grêmio have signed Léo Gago, ex-Coritiba.

On the other hand Escudero is leaving, might join Atlético Mineiro, who also want Wesley (ex-Santos, playing at Werder now).

And Corinthians are trying to repatriate Willian (Shakhtar), who is very eager to return as his child will be born in February, and he naturally wants to raise him/her in Brazil.

lol, that Boca Juniors kid said that it'd be a step forward to move to Santos, finally these Argentines are beginning to see the truth Smile. However, our president LAOR said that we are not really looking for any foreigners atm.

He also said a nice thing about using Barcelona as an example and keeping the players for a long time in order for them to gel better. That president definitely is the coolest in Brazil, or maybe the only cool one there is lol. Some journalists really think that he'd do a nice job as the CBF president or something, but I dont think it'd ever happen.

primeiro a recusou, o segundo a pegou.
Mano Menezes postou no twitter:
aceito, entendido e resolvido.
Em suma, ambos resolveram dividir com a
imprensa a responsabilidade pela retumbante
derrota! Ora, façam-me o favor...
ATROPELAMENTO. O tal 3-7-0 do Barcelona,
E, consequentemente, tome
de passe errado, de chutão pra frente, de
chuveirinho a esmo... É nisso que, infelizmente, se
transformou nosso futebol.
Piazza se tornar zagueiro; Tostão, centroavante;
Rivelino, ponta-esquerda, e Jairzinho voltar à ponta-
direita.
Espanha, a Alemanha etc.
Hora do descanso.
blog e volto no início do Estadual do Rio. Boas
Festas e Feliz Ano Novo a todos!

And Flamengo's Gonzalo Fierro has passed the medical at Colo Colo and is about to join the Chilean team (a 18-month loan deal apparently).
