I hope he doesn't make those hamstring injuries a habit.

He was known as injury prone even with the reserves, unfortunately.

Do you suppose Skrtel should keep playing RB till Glen/Kelly returns! Or should Carragher shift to RB and Skrtel partnering Agger at CB!

Well despite his mistake . . i still feel Flanno should be coming in cause that was just a lapse of momentary concentration we all know the lad is better then that! !
but if it comes down to Carra & Skrtel then definitely Skrtel looked better then Carra ever did on RB! ! . . .less hoofing makes it look so much better!

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Glen & Kelly both are supposed to be fit for Stoke . .
However the big question is would our Captain be? Were there any news on his revival?? When & against whom can we expect to see him?
Really can't wait to see Gerrard & Suarez together along with Downing

alantkayll Alan Kayll
Charlie Adam will be fine for the Stoke game.
Seems like a precaution by scotland and Adam is fit for Stoke.
P.S.
Dont know who Alan Kayll apparently an ITK with strong sources inside the club acc. to RAWK.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Jesus christ these injuries really give me a headache.
I'm predicting Kelly and Glen are out of stoke solely due to the fact that the King is usually adamant on being 100% sure on injuries as he is not one to risk.
Adam? I see him coming off the bench.
I'd like Flano to start as RB as he'll be more then good enough to recover for lost players.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Given Stoke's physical playing style in combination with the aerial prowess of Kenwyne Jones and Peter Crouch, I would play Skrtel over Flanno if Kelly and Glen are out. Skrtel's aerial ability will be helpful in defending set pieces, and his penchant for physical defense should keep Stoke from bullying the back line. Enrique, Agger, Carra and Skrtel should not have any problems holding the line against the physical attack of Stoke.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
Glen was given a fitness test before Bolton so I fail to see how he's a doubt any longer.
Also, Crouch sucks in the air, especially for someone of his height and Etherington is a huge part of Stoke's attack, and I'd rather have a natural RB on to deal with him as I fear for Skrtel's (lack of) pace and experience in the position. Especially since Enrique should have Pennant in his pocket.
I think 4-2-3-1 is the most likely with Glen returning at RB and Suarez (or perhaps Bellamy) providing pace and movement to get at Stoke's backline up top. Carroll would simply play to Huth's strengths.
Another possibility is the 3-5-2 we say last season, though I personally doubt we'll see it again.

Re: The Liverpool injury Thread
For those who don't know, Glen messed up his hamstring during today's game. Looks like he is going to be out for a bit more.
IIRC, the only natural RB we have at the moment is Flanagan.

I'm hoping for Skrtel-Coates in Agger's absence. Introduce Coates into first team action quickly.

Liverpool Echo: After Kelly played 90 minutes for England U21 last night, he complained of a tightness in his groin afterwards. He has returned to Liverpool as a precautionary measure. He will be assessed by the Reds medical staff ahead of next weekend's clash with Manchester United at Anfield.

Glen should be fit, and Kelly only had a tightness. Let's not panic before we actually know something is wrong.
