Think this is the 1st time in a long time since 53 goals for an entire season has been looked upon as a "Good but can do better" sort of approach. On one hand shows how much football fans have matured in their thinking, also shows we are very picky and annoying as well.

I'm gonna against the grain here and say I hope Cristiano doesn't change his mentality. Yeah, it reeks of "it's me against the world" which is honestly annoying but it works for him and works for the end result of the team. I know team build up is way more important and I reckon Cristiano believes he could contribute just as well but I don't see that in him (nor does Mourinho). He has become a striker for all intense and purposes and out of all the forwards on the side, I have absolute faith he'll come through with the goals. Let the likes of Ozil, Sahin, Alonso, Di Maria, Khedira be the ones to handle the creative side and team build up.

We literally have the "perfect" forward in Cristiano....

I watched the game Atleti played this weekend and Forlan was open for a couple of clear shots but Aguero chose to take the shots himself. Even the announcer noticed and said that it's a shame how Aguero continues not to want to pass to Forlan. They also kept mentioning on how good Forlan was playing only to be subbed later on.

One of the coaching members noticed that this did not sit well with a few of the players, and clearly were heard saying "No more passes to blondie" (in the feminine, the insulting nickname they use behind his back).

3 games we played without Ronaldo. 2 were great and one we lost. Not enough to suggest we are better without him.

Ronaldo is almost never not playing, you wont find many games in which he didnt partake.

Doenst mean that we cant win without him. When he got out of the line up last season, one touch football burst out of the players as if they were constricted when playing with ronaldo...

without him they all are generous, with him some become selfish like higgy b/c thats exactly how ronaldo behaves

hed rather take shots than pass the ball to a guy who is more open

and everytime he dribbles he gets himself into a tangle and complains for imiginary things that we havent seen or the players dont understand

What was the signifinace of the game? League was over, Cup won in midweek and CL match in midweek as well.

A lot of people like to focus on these Ronaldo-less Madrid games as an indication that madrid perform better without him.

It really is false. People continue to overlook the impact he truly makes for the team.
His performace in games like Sporting away, Espanyol away and Villarreal home shows how much he contributes to this team.

Those were games where could have easily have lost if it had not been for Ronaldo. His work rate is phenomenal and has saved our asses on numerous occassions..

Those matches are what really defines Ronaldo as a player and his impact on the team. These Ronaldo-less Madrid games really don't have any substance at all.

if lose the ball>>>run straight back to try and win it back>>either cause a freekick or start a counter

with ronaldo its:

espanyol away wasnt much better marcelo scores and we go ultradefensive...check posession

we always do good vs villarreal anyways so yeah, maybe they need pelle back he was magic

its a fact unfortunately for some that without ronaldo, we enjoy watching our games, and our passing is very close to the passing we saw with pelle

I'm not discrediting him or anything, but most of the goals were tap ins or set-pieces, of which he try-harded in the last few insignificant games in order to boost the tally. :coffee:

To be honest, i would rather he scores 2 against barca than seeing him score 8 against zaragoza. That's how i feel about him. I wasnt imressed at all by the shenanigans he did at the end of the season to score 13 goals and beat the record, i really couldnt care less.

Yeh I agree. There's no point if your best player is only going to perform vs mediocre sides and then fail all the time vs big clubs. If Mourinho was tactically spot on Ronaldo could do a lot of damage to Barca.

In the games he has played he just gets past a few players and ends up losing it. However not many players usually even get past Barca's pressure and players.
