Kroos, the Sniper
People who watched him play, what do you think about him?
I think if Robben returns and Muller takes his place, Bayern may become unstable again. He goes unnoticed most of the time but his passing and movements in tight spaces are extremly effective One funny part, I watched him against Napoli, he can pass with either foot precisely any kind of passes all over the field (superb vision)
Since I don't watch him often, I wanted to ask people around here for more input
U17, U18 etc.:
This vid provided by Idrisuzet describes the current Kroos perfectly There aren't so many Bayern fans boys around to make Kroos videos like TMO does for us in RM section (Benz, Higgy) but this one is quite good

A very interesting question for Bayern fans When Robben comes back, what would be your formation like in attacking third?Ganso wrote:I always use him instead of muller in FIFA

Intelligent player with some creative abilities. he's a bit like Lampard but more like German type . he'd excels at counter attacking teams.

At his best when he's almost invisible, imho. Great passer, great for keeping possession, often gives the assist to the assist - far more important than you'd realize if you weren't paying him any particular attention.
Just difficult to place, he isn't a real goalscoring AM, but he really isn't an assist-machine of a playmaker as well, he's more like a deep-lying playmaker, except he isn't played deep. Don't know how to better describe it, lol.

TONI KROOS is the best playmaker after Oezil in footbal today. When Xavi and Iniesta show some class, they might as well even be considered of his level. And remember, the best players are always underrated. As for Robben.... Who is Robben?

Re: Kroos, the Sniper
If you watch some Bayern games (and you will need more than one to notice him when he is not shining with a brilliant pass) ... he comes across like a sly, cunning fellow who brings a different edge to the game then Piggy. Staying in the background to take in the lay of the game, he than pulls something out of his hat. He has specialized in using the spaces Piggy provides by pulling the concentration of too many defenders in his direction, totally forgetting about Kroos.
All in all a very unique player with a lot of qualities.

Actually that's his bracket, I'd say. Last season just wasn't kind to Kroos, he was boss at Leverkusen and is really blossoming now under Heynckes at Bayern.
He might be somewhere around Müller's level, he'll need to get very lucky to reach Özils, but he can still be class without doing that, considering Mesut will be improving as well. That kid is gold, and he'll show it. He won't be flashy, he might score a goal from distance every now and then, but mostly he'll be at his best when you almost don't notice him.

Kind of the German Xavi, right?
(Chill, Barca/Spain supporters, obviously not as good - I just meant his style and potential impact.)

Yeah, something like that. He has the potential to be the metronome in Germany if he keeps developing his game.

Re: Kroos, the Sniper
I think Löws long term plan is to just go and do away with most of our defense and play Piggy and Kroos deep, and basically have Piggy be most of our cover and just have ALL of the team contribute to defense so we don't collapse under pressure, I think he wants to move towards Spain-like possession stats, though Germany will probably never attack as little.
Löw recently stated in an interview when asked about whether Schweinsteiger would be enough as the basically sole defensive midfielder that he'd rather win 4-2 than 2-0, and he thinks outscoring the opposition is just as safe as not conceding in the long run.
He might be insane, but it'll be a joy to watch

When you live by the sword...well you know the rest
Should be great to watch too. Not to mention Ozil and Khedira would be a big asset in such a playing style

Re: Kroos, the Sniper
Khedira will not be involved in such playing style.
Since Kroos will normally partner Basti in the center of the Midfield.
Actually, Its a joy to watch Kroos playing in his best position atm.
and when Robben returns, that would be great for rotation.
I'm loving the current line-up, even without Robben.. but weather we like it or not.. we need Robben for the CL knockout stages..
And Kroos, will stay a main player in the squad. Weather a player is suspended, or substituted in the second half.
In Brief, Toni Kroos is the Jewel of FC Bayern.

Re: Kroos, the Sniper
For me I rate Toni Kroos higher than Muller and Oezil, I like how his developing smoothly and slowing while many people and media ain't noticing his talent that much...
His the best passer in Germany and actually his a goal treat but I think his been restricted from taking long rages, another thing is that his skills and worth will become even more visible if we play with 2 striker

Re: Kroos, the Sniper
Was about to post a facepalm and call it a knee-jerk post, but I couldn't name anyone who's a better passer. Schweinsteiger, maybe, but other than him?
Huh.
Ok I'll give you that, Kroos actually might be the best passer in the Bundesliga already. What the hell?

Kroos is a better passer(long, short, crosses) than Schweinsteiger, I agree Schweinsteiger is way way better overall, however if Kroos can work hard on his strength and defensive ability, in few years time he'll be like a high breed Schweinsteiger.
Another thing is that his very similar to Schweinsteiger the only thing lacking is strength and defensive ability and if he can develop over the next years, he'll be a mix breed of Toni Kroos and Schweinsteiger.
You might have not notice but Kroos is probably one of the best passer in the world, ask Babun he'll confirm it.
KROOS IS THE ONLY PLAYER THAT I KNOW THAT CAN DELIVER CROSSES FROM CENTRE OF THE PITCH, GOMEZ 2ND GOAL AGAINST NAPOLI IS EXAMPLE AND IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO I POSTED BELOW HE DOES IT SEVERAL TIME WHEN HE WAS IN LEVERKUSEN

Re: Kroos, the Sniper
I must also mention that his development has really slowed down with Bayern and his far restricted from being creative as much as he was with Bayer, considering that Bayern have very creative players like Ribery, Robben and Schweini.
1:04 he does that pass all the time, I dont know if is a pass or cross.?
But his slowly and steadily developing with Bayern and maybe that will be better for him on a long run, in order not to burn out.
