going out on a edge - Madrid to win next 9 games.
At the beginning of season, Mou asked his players to try to win first 10 games after a wonderful pre season!!! Didn't quite work out that way as we had a mini crisis, but we have rebounded very well and look once again like the best (or at least 2nd best) team. We now have 9 games before the first classico so I'm predicting we will win all 9 and just to complete cycle and really go out on edge, I say we will win the 10th as well.
Here are the 10 games:
Oct 30 - @ R. Sociedad
Nov 2 - @ Lyon (CL)
Nov 6 - Osasuna
Nov 9 - @ Ponferradina (Copa)
Nov 12 & 15 are seleccion
Nov 19 - Valencia
Nov 22 - D. Zagreb (CL)
Nov 27 - Atletico
Dec 4 - @ Sporting
Dec 6 - @ Ajax (CL)
Dec 10 - Barcelona

Re: going out on a edge - Madrid to win next 9 games.
We might have our B team at Amsterdam (already qualified) and Valencia will be tough. Other than that, we should handle the rest.
Note that i didn't mention that you can't assume a win at Lyon since we've actually never won there that i can recall. But if we;re going to do it, this would be the time or never.... we're on a big high and they're as low as they've been in a while.

If you ask Barca Fans, they'll disagree with you.

There must be a draw somewhere, but i hope not.
I hope it's all wins. But i have to be realistic too.

Re: going out on a edge - Madrid to win next 9 games.
It's in the Bernabeu, it should be a win and only a win
If we're still in the lead I'd accept a draw, but a win now would take us 4 points ahead of them, which is a pretty big lead

Re: going out on a edge - Madrid to win next 9 games.
Well, if we beat Lyon it renders the other CL group games meaningless. Good high profile runouts for youngsters and squad players. Ponferradina or whatever they are called we should sweep aside in the first leg, if not in both. Osasuna and Sporting are smaller La Liga sides, you never know, but we should beat them too. Valencia and Atleti are tough, but we can probably beat Patetico easily in this form. Barca is Barca.
So no, I dont think we will win all games, but at least 6 or 7 out of those 8.

Nov 27 - Atletico
Dec 4 - @ Sporting
Dec 7 - @ Ajax (CL)
Dec 10 - Barcelona
and my prediction of this game:
And for all you naysayers or doubting thomas;
for the liga games, think about what the point ahead of Barca means for the first classico.
As to the Copa game although we will likely play Granero, Varane, Adan, Altintop, Callejon, it's still more than enough for a 3rd level team.
And as to rested players for 2 remaining CL games, Mou is using a much bigger squad this year so it doesn't really matter as to who plays. Zagreb is a pretty weak team and Lyon is a better team than Ajax.
so I'm feeling pretty good out here on the edge!!!!

Re: going out on a edge - Madrid to win next 9 games.
We should blow Ponty away, and the CL games dont matter any more, so we can completely focus on La Liga. Some pretty tough games there, if we dont drop any points Im pretty sure that we will have a bigger lead come the clasico. And if we win that, giving us an even bigger lead... it would really help in the mid stages of the league.
