Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket - World Cup 2019 Special
How can you say it is not defendable?
For the supposed best bowling attack in the world that should have been enough runs to work with. If you just ball the right line and length, take your chances, field well and stay on top of the game pressure, that would have been enough.
It's not about being too hard lol, you don't know the sort of noise these SA pos make when it comes to their sport. FFS the arrogance and fronting when they win at something is unbelievable. I will always have a laugh when they fail/come up short. And that was a choke alright. They didn't stay composed enough. If they had more composure they could have had two run outs (don't forget the De Kock one.) Steyn always tries to go too hard at the batsman because he is over emotional, when reasonable bowling in correlation with game assessment from his part would have been the better option then just steaming in like a madman. He could have been more economical and chipped in with a wicket here or there if he did that. And another small example of how they couldn't handle the pressure was when AB tried to dive on to the ball but completely missed it and that was after he stopped it initially from going for a 4.
If you can't handle the pressure and stay in control of your emotions it is equals as a choke.

Much deserved win. Aus were on top right from the start. Did a good job to pull back the score, but still 330 was a massive score to chase.
Kohli Letting the team down big time. And when we know that at 7 one who comes to bat is sir Jadeja , then we can very much guarantee that this batting line up is massively thin and if the top order fail its pretty much a K.O situation .
Anyway best 2 teams in the final without a doubt. Hope Main man Mccullum will send these aussie twerps packing.

De Villiers is the Messi of Cricket.Imo he's the greatest player i've ever watched.Never seen a player so consistent and so devastating as him in all three formats.
For me,he's already the greatest South African cricketer of all time, even better than Kallis.Him retiring without a World Cup to his name would be really painful.

Interesting to see you rate him more than Tendulkar.

Beating Pakistan and India in a series back to back #maukamauka
Mustafizur with 11 wickets on his debut two matches
Qualifying for Champions Trophy
Went to the stadium for second ODI. Crazy atmosphere, everyone chanting mauka mauka Can't believe we dominated India like that on the first two matches.

Congrats.
And i actually dint get your post in the GS at first.I was like 'what's this guy talking about ?!'
Not watched a single second of it but i'm glad India lost.May the misery continue.I watched bits of the Pakistan series and boy, you absolutely bullied them. Also good to see Tamim finally fulfilling his potential.
Great for the game but as long as the corrupt scumbags from India are controlling the game,it wont be much fun to watch in the near future.
Who does BD replace in the Champions Trophy though ? West Indies ?

Thanks. We replace Pakistan. I'm not getting ahead of myself, our home form has been brilliant but I am damn sure India would have beaten us if the match happened elsewhere. I'm just happy that we are no longer a fodder team.

Lol, yea totally agree. I too was kinda hoping there would be a 'Banglawash'. Sadly it didnt happen.
Full credit to BD for outplaying us.
And moreover Its a tight slap on these fcker's who run cricket in our country this series defeat. Need more of these (in ODIs now ) for them to actually do some soul searching and seriously look at improving the bowling. Theres been far too much playing around for so many years actually doing nothing. Lol India's fast bowling is like the worst in the world.
Now everyone will forget everything once again when we win a one day series in India and when Rohit LOL sharma scores yet another double century just as usual. Will never gonna change unless ex cricketers who love the game take control of the board instead of these greedy fat *bleep* politicians.

Amazing display from England so far
Australia's test team is really overrated imo.Don't let their bullying of India in tests deceive you.
England are formidable at home.

I like this new England team. Casually smashing 400 in ODIs, now beating Australia in four days. Somebody somewhere has just gone "*bleep* it", ripped up the old plans and brought the team into 2015.
It can rain the rest of the summer now.

Sigh, the team got overrated. South Africa showing they are a level above us. Hope we get at least one win, a whitewash will be quite disheartening.

Australia 60 All out ! Woaa
Could get very embarrassing for them seeing how the match is going. England already leading by something like 150.

That morning session was unreal. Two wickets in the first over before Warner even faced his first ball, Australia all out before lunch, and the top scorer for them was extras. Broad got 8 for 15 ffs - the third best figures for an English bowler ever.
Genuinely thought we'd struggle without Anderson but a green pitch plus Australia's horrible batting made it easy for us.

Re: "The Gentleman's game"- Cricket - World Cup 2019 Special
Australian team moves into a transition phase now.
Clarke retired
Watson retired (from test cricket)
Rogers retired
Haddin retired
Ryan Harris retired
Johnson no longer looks his devastating self and is 34 now
The one-day team still looks strong but Damn , the test team looks really mediocre now as we speak especially the batting.
Steve Smith is the only elite batsman in their lineup followed by Warner although the latter is a bit of a hit and miss in test cricket.
Incredible when you think they had world class players in their reserves some 8-10 yrs ago.
Do think they'll come back strong though. But they look no longer scary especially in tests.

For bowlers, at least, they look stacked. Cummins, Pattinson and Coulter-Nile look like really promising fast bowlers. Not sure about their batsmen, though.
I did think during the Ashes that their team would enter transition, soon. Makes the return series in Australia very interesting.
