Actually Ribéry did got caught on the foot and lost balance, but he made such a dramatic fall that the ref carded him.

Napoli got the result they needed. Seemed to me, Bayern thought that they could play rugby, but the Portugal referee thought they should stick to the rules of football.

I wouldn't necessarily agree that Napoli got the result they wanted. A draw at the Allianz will be a good result for them, they should have looked to win last night in Naples.

That being said, Bayern probably still the best side in the group. Napoli can probably expect a loss in the return fixture. Setting up a show-down for second with Man City is their best chance to get through to the next round.

Villareal are out of it, but they can still be a spanner in the works. They're a proud team and will not get booted from the group stage without taking points off someone at least. Interesting permutations!
