Why would Schalke sell to Bayern over us or any other foreign club? Can I get some clarity, Hans, perhaps?

Draxler himself said everything was set but that the president blocked the move. I ask this question regardless of what Jan Aage says because I've read it elsewhere as well.

I certainly didn't hear about it, Draxler's got a clause in summer so you're free to buy him if he wants to join you, I don't know what Bayern would have to do with it?

Did you ever consider that maybe Schalke don't want to sell Draxler now and that's very sensible of them, not to mention their good right to do so?
He's got a contract, and a clause when he can leave in summer, how is he a victim?

Of course it makes sense for Schalke. The only way it would be logical to sell him would be if an offer above the release clause arrived and I'm sure Wenger wouldn't go above that.

I merely asked how any speculation of Bayern moving would make sense. Razz

well, we'll need someone to succeed Ribery at some point, and maybe Pep prefers a more midfield-play oriented 'winger' for that, so sure, we could use Draxler.

Honestly though, I didn't hear anything about it so far. But of course, if there's a top German player on the market, we will be interested to an extent.

But it's up to Draxler anyway, since it's a release clause he can choose what club he wants to join, as long as that club is prepared to pay the fee.

The Metro report Arsene Wenger has Mario Balotelli earmarked but has been put off by his £40million pricetag. However, Puma apparently want so badly, to merge two of their key brands, that they are willing to help fund a move for the Italian to the tune of "up to £15million".

Let's say Bayern buy him, where does he play? Wings are full with Robbery, Shaqiri and ST is taken up by false 9 Gotze and incoming Roberto L.
