yeah Arsenal could sign him ....He won't move to Bundesliga..( sayed his brother-according to local news)!ernie_schwarz wrote:Arsenal looked to have hopes of signing FC Basel and Switzerland star Xherdan Shaqiri in previous weeks.
However, according to Metro, it now looks like he could be most likely to join Hamburg SV despite their bottom of the table position in Germany.

Arsenal eye swoop for Sevilla keeper Varas as back-up for Szczesny
Arsenal are monitoring Sevilla goalkeeper Javi Varas.
The 29-year-old is valued at around £6million and grabbed headlines at the weekend by saving a penalty from Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Varas signed a new deal with Sevilla only this month but with Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski both ready to leave next year, Arsene Wenger needs experienced competition for Wojciech Szczesny next season.

Why Varas? Fabianski was in very good form before his injury. (Unless FAbianski wants out)

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
There have been some rumors linking Arsenal to a possible January move for the dynamic Hertha Berlin's Brazilian star,Raffael. He is a natural advanced, attacking midfielder.
Givemefootball.com recently suggested that Arsenal could move for Raffael in January, for as little as £4 million.
Raffael is an accomplished passer, who utilizes deceptive quickness and clever movement to always find space.
When on the ball in and around the opposition box he is a very direct player, although the 26-year-old needs to improve his finishing to score the number of goals he should.
Raffael would provide excellent support to Robin van Persie and has the flair and intelligence to excel in Wenger's footballing philosophy.
Arsenal have demonstrated small signs of recovery recently. But if they are going to compete against stronger opposition and ultimately for trophies this season, then more quality may need to be added, unless one of the current midfielders can really step up.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
The Spanish boss was thought to be impressed with the winger’s match-winning display against his side during last season’s 2-1 Champions League defeat at the Emirates, and is now reportedly considering a surprise bid.
Barca are certainly not short of fleet-footed forwards, but with Alexis Sanchez and Ibrahim Afellay currently sidelined with long-term injuries, a move for Walcott may well be on the cards.
The England international will be out of contract next summer, and with no new deal currently on the table, the Gunners may be tempted to cash-in on the former Southampton man if the right offer come in.
However, Walcott has recently declared his desire to begin contract negotiations with Arsenal, and although a potential switch to the Spanish giants may turn his head, Emirates chiefs are quietly confident that a new deal can be struck.

Though I know this deal will never happen,I would be happy for a Cesc-Walcott(+Cash) deal

Arsenal on Alert as Real Madrid Request €9m For In-Demand Midfielder
Arsenal have reportedly been told what they will need to pay to land Esteban Granero after Real Madrid put a €9m price tag on the midfielder, according to Insidefutbol.com.
The Gunners were linked with a move for Granero in the summer following the departures of key midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri but Real were keen to hold on to the player.
However, the 24-year-old Spaniard has found game time limited this season and is deemed surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu.
Arsenal reportedly face competition from Roma and Malaga for Granero's signature and are expected to make an official offer in the January transfer window.
Granero came through the ranks at Real before being sold to Getafe. He then returned to the Bernabeu in 2009 after they activated the €4m buy-out clause in his contract.
Despite not being a part of Jose Mourinho's plans at Real, the club are still hoping they can make a €5m profit from Granero's sale.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
According to the Daily Fail,A big spat has taken place between Moratti and Ranieri because of Inter bidding a 17.5M for Aaron Ramsey.
Ranieri feels it would be improper of him to manage an Arsenal player, since he is the former manager of Chelsea,Arsenal's rival club.
And he feels that Josh McEachran would be more ideal for Inter and has asked Moratti to launch a 20M bid for Josh.
Ranieri:"I have consulted with a few goallegacy members who feel that Josh is more talented than Wilshere,so I want to sign Josh"

yellow jornalism at its best, but knock yourself out
mind you london clubs include both Spurs and Chelsea (both of whom are ahead of us int he table, and will provide better pay... but that is using logic, and we all know most Arsenal bloggers are below the age of 15)...
That said, I would love to have Montolivo in the squad.
Arsenal strengthen their position in chase for Montolivo
October 27, 2011 | Filed under: Arsenal,FA Barclays Premiership,Man United | Posted by: DaveS
Last week we reported on Arsenal transfer target, Ricardo Montolivo, attracting the attention of AC Milan as well as Manchester United and now reports from Italy suggest that Arsenal have stolen the lead on both clubs for signing Fiorentina’s holding midfielder.
Montolivo is out of contract in the summer and the 26 year old who joined Fiorentina back in 2005 first attracted the interest of Arsenal last month.
It was thought that AC Milan’s interest would put them in the driving seat to sign Montolivo, who Fiorentina are resigned to losing in the summer. However, according to the latest news coming out of Italy, the 26 year old is keen play in the Premier League and prefers London to Manchester.
Thus strengthening the chances of Arsenal being able to sign the 26 year old and setting up the possibility of the Gunners coming to an agreement with the player in January – to join at the end of the season.
Fiorentina on the other hand will be hopeful that they will be able to offload Montolivo in January for a cut price sum, rather than lose him on a Bosman, once his contract expires next June.

Re: Latest Arsenal Rumours
Welsh legend Robbie Savage feels Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger needs to buy big to convince Robin van Persie to stay.
In his column for the Mirror, Savage opined: "I've no doubt Van Persie really does love Arsenal and his manager.
"But he is 28 now. Injuries mean he's probably only got three years left at the very top of his game.
"As he ponders Arsenal's offer, he must be weighing up his chances of winning something at the Emirates in that time frame.
"Unless things improve rapidly, they can be no better than 50/50. At Real Madrid, Barcelona or even United or City? Virtually nailed-on. That is going to make you think about moving on, no matter how great your bond with the club.
"It's barely worth Wenger sitting down with Van Persie now to hammer out a deal. Much better would be to identify two or three world-class players and find the money to sign them in January.
"Without them, Arsenal will not finish in the Champions League places. And Robin van Persie will decide that the Europa League is too small a stage for his talents."
