Re: Tom Cleverley
The worst thing is that even simple passes look like difficult passes from his feet.

Cleverley-Carrick partnership offers absolutely nothing in the final third. Nothing.

He's been playing better than Fellaini recently, so this is kind of disappointing.Tom Cleverley will be out for two to three weeks with his calf strain. #mufc #eng

Utter, utter shet player. Has no business playing for a club like United and he actually thinks he's all that.
Up there with Young as a Utd player I dislike.

"My job goes under the radar at times. I am not a player who's going to beat three or four people and stick it in the top corner or go round tackling people like Roy Keane.
So what exactly do you do then Cleverley, other than pass it sideway's or give the ball away?

Pass to the wings for more crosses into the box.

Re: Tom Cleverley
tbf 2 years ago Cleverley was actually useful, him and Anderson were a great partnership until that scrub shit footballer Kevin Davies broke Cleverley's foot in a game vs Bolton, never been the same.
and Anderson struggled to keep his form with another partner lost his spot in the starting 11 and was never heard from again

Re: Tom Cleverley
Get him the eff away from the club Woodward, anybody at the board, sell him for a pittance if you have to. QPR, Arry, you know you want to mate, put a bid in....1 mill, even 500k. Just take him.
We might even give them Young as an add on too.
This guy is one of the worst footballers Ive ever seen.

Re: Tom Cleverley
they two are actually competing right now as a matter of fact each time they are on the pitch to find out who is more shittier. Fletcher too has decided to join the party and has made it a 3-some now.

Re: Tom Cleverley
At least Anderson knew what a through ball was, and Gibson knows how to shoot. I think Fletcher and Cleverley are worse than the former two and that's saying a lot. They donothing.
Buy De Jong and another CM, so we can have Carrick, De Jong, Herrera, new CM and Di Maria all as options there.

Re: Tom Cleverley
Spot on with them comparisons BB. Those players atleast had one significant attribute, despite their limitations. Cleveley on the other hand has nothing to his game, literally nothing.
All he does is short passes side ways or backwards.
Like I said in the matchday thread, the fact Utd, one of the biggest clubs in the world, had him and Fletcher starting for us today, shows how neglecting the midfield all them years has bit us on the backsides.
Could you imagine RM, Barca, Bayern lining up with them? Or players of a similar calibre?

Re: Tom Cleverley
I think the last game shows we need to ship Cleverly off to the lower leagues ASAP. Loan him to FC United of Manchester or something.
This guy is turning into one of those players where EVERYONE sees how bad he is except the coaches, who have unwavering confidence and keep playing him.

Re: Tom Cleverley
kagawa with his inferior physique and strength would have put in a much much better shift as a cm if he was given a look in instead of this simpleton.

Re: Tom Cleverley
Yep, you should be. Cleverley has bigger potential. I remember him and Carrick humiliating Wilshere and Arsenal's midfield (+ Arteta, Ramsey) two seasons ago at Old Trafford when United beat Arsenal 2-1 and it should have been a massacre on the scoreboard.
It's just that the whole team isn't performing at the moment; a lot of changes in the staff, changes of tactics, change of philosophy...but most of Man Utd's players from this squad and last season's squad, easily won the EPL in 2013. So shut the *bleep* up!

Re: Tom Cleverley
“I like playing in the midfield three,” said Cleverley, who lines up alongside Ashley Westwood and Fabian Delph in an all-English trio.
“All my best games for Manchester United and England have tended to be in a three.
“That’s a system we play here so it suits me.
“I want to be more advanced in that three and hit both boxes.”
Cleverley admits that his poor form for United last season was partly down to the system and position he was asked to play in.
“If you looked at the games, the areas I was playing in were a little bit deeper and under different systems,” he said.
“It probably didn’t suit my game perfectly.

First we had Danny "how can I score goals on the wing" Welbeck, now Tom "I play best in a 3 man midfield not 2" Cleverley
Incredible

Re: Tom Cleverley
Still hasn't sunken in yet to him that he is a limited footballer, has it?lol. First it was because the English don't appreciate what he brings to the game and that he would be more appreciated in Spain, now this
I've watched him play for Villa and he even looks out of depth for them. Delph puts him to shame. Honestly speaking, imo, not tryna throw muck at Cleevr;ey's name here.
If he doesn't look good for Villa, then what is his level...perhaps the championship?
If I were to respond to him after hearing what he just said, I'd say: No Cleverley, you're just a rubbish footballer. Stop making excuses.

Re: Tom Cleverley
I though he was pretty average too, but Villa fans seem to think he's done well. Different standards, I guess.
