Maicon ?

Well, im just discussing of a trend mourinho seems to be following.

we are signing all around complete footballers, im not disagreeing with that tbh. As long as they are comfortable technically, i dont mind.

Well, we have awesome attacking players already. It's our defense that tends to be a bit shaky. Fellaini is an interesting option, but we haven't been linked with him at all, as far as I know. M'vila I've barely watched, but I've heard great things about him. We have a young squad right now, and I'd love to see it continue like that.

It's an old link, we havent been linked with any midfielder at all

As long as Alonso is a starter then I don't think we really need a pure DM.

We are actually linked with another Belgian CM, Defour. I have heard a lot of noise about him and he is supposed to be a quite talent but I have never seen him play so don't know if it's true.

nothing serious but he doesnt quite fit the profile we are discussing here anyway. If we are surprisingly looking for a playmaking CM, there is better choice around.

I've watched him play 3 times for Belgium. I'm not an expert at all, but he looked like any other CM to me. I'd like to know exactly why he's been so (relatively) hyped up for the past few years.

We don't really need a young CM with Sahin arriving imo.

I think the DM position is overrated in general unless your name is Makelele A CM who can pass and defend offers a lot more protection in a 4-3-3. Lass is a lot better at stealing the ball than Khedira for example but we couldn't dominate Farca without him... He pressures, wins second balls and passes forward etc.
I welcome Maicon instead of Coentrao but wouldn't overpay the fee.17 mil € are more than appropriate.

Why the hell would we need Maicon now??? And I don't wan't to hear about his price tag either.

Honestly I don't want either Maicon or Coentrao to come this summer.

Me neither. I think all we needed this summer was a backup versatile fullback.

sadly, mourinho is making no plan for canteras next season. the problem with mourinho and his huge squad is that when you have 21 field players, and none of them is injured, you have 5 guys in the stands at the time.

Im not a big fan of that to be honest. Guys like Granero and even Callejon will get the short end of the stick. Frankly, we need to start counting ronaldo as a part of the 3 forwards, and rely on either Morata or the other dude to back up the 3 CFs.

ramos as starting CB, backup RB when needed

Unless Arbeloa is unavailable, Ramos will never again play as RB. ok i push it too far, but what i mean is, for him to transform, he needs to forget his RB tendencies for a while. Besides, Robocop and Altintop will cover that RB

maicon and marcelo together,they would be firing down the flanks in god mode,but defensively......

we didnt offer anything bro

I would much rather us push Ramos as a CB (as looks to be the plan). The longer we leave him on the RB and rotate him with CB, the less progress his transition makes.

The Maicon talks, I'm not really taking that seriously as I have believed Coentrao has been near wrapped up for a while now. I'd much prefer Coentrao over Maicon anyway. My initial idea of Monreal is of course out of the equation now.
