What brand do you wear.
What boots do you rock?
I know a bunch of you play the beautiful game. I was curious to know who wears what. I actually started out using Adidas, all I can say is that my feet still haven't forgiven me. I'm not sure if it's just how my feet are shaped, but after each game my feet would be torn up (I exaggerate to make my point).
So, I decided to give Nike a try. It was love at first wear (Not sure if that works), I immediately knew I would be rocking Nikes forever. My first turf boot was the Bomba Pro, the shop I went to didn't have much selection. But I actually enjoyed these boots for 2-3 seasons. I started to see what type of player I was and decided to try out the CTR360 Libretto II and as they advertised the shoe was quite comfortable from the start.
I played about 2-3 more games in this boot and realized there was something missing. I wasn't getting a good feel for the ball, I know they can only do so much to emulate that barefoot feeling. I had heard great things about the Tiempo and it is said to be a great boot for players who want that "touch". I used them today for the first time and I don't think I'll be looking back. Sure I will bring out different boots for more casual games, but when something is on the line you will find me in the Nike Tiempo Flight. The boot offers so much (IMO): Touch, it's incredibly light and it just "fit" like glove.
Where do you guys stand on boots?

Puma King Finale
Although i have Nike CTR360 and Nike Total 90, I just love my Puma.
somehow they feel a lot different then the other ones, my touch is always so smooth and the passing somehow is always accurate with it.

Re: What boots do you rock?
I started with Adidas (Predators) also.
Then I started using Nike Tiempos for quite some time actually.
I'm thinking about trying out Under Armour's in the near future.
Something like that, so I can stand out, but it's hard as hell to find size 15's (US).
I love PUMA's designs but their boots aren't designed for those with wide feet.

Adipure for outdoor football. They're simple, elegant and feel great on my feet.
Lotto for Indoor/Futsal. I haven't played indoor in sometime, but when I do, I always got a pair of Lotto's to break out for a kickabout. Love 'em.

Re: What boots do you rock?
Are you the flashy type? Do you use more skill than the average player. Most players I come across with the Mercurials seem to fit that mold. I forgot to mention pace.

Re: What boots do you rock?
i like to think so but i just really like how it feels, i wouldnt wear anything that wasnt adizeros or mercurials, everything else feels to heavy once your accustomed to the light weight boots
tried a pair of tiempos after the vapors and i couldn't stand them, way too heavy imo

Re: What boots do you rock?
Do you recall what model they were? I remember picking up an old indoor Nike boots (Can't remember the name), I swear they felt like rocks.
I know these new Tiempos have carbon plate out-sole. They claim the boot is 9.6oz.

Re: What boots do you rock?
I've never really had issues with feet hurting or anything, I guess I've been lucky in that regard. For most of my juniour years I'd just play with cheapish lotto.
Then moved onto some lower range predator powerswerves:
And currently wearing mercurials:
I don't overly have a preference with brand, I'll just go to the shops and see what feels good.
I also think alot of the weight stuff is a gimmick, I weighed my mercurials up against my old boots and their is only a few grams difference, but maybe it's just me

Re: What boots do you rock?
That's exactly why I said they claim. I'm with you man, companies will always find a way to push their product on us.
The store I was work at was advertising these new shoes and the they were all about being lightweight. I should have used the mechanism they sent us to put football boots to the test.
I wish I was able to go around and try boots on. Most stores in the NYC don't offer much variety or they sell out quick. I joined soccer.com and get some great deals, but I wish I could know how they would feel before purchasing them.

Re: What boots do you rock?
Yeah I was expecting a big gap but overall I don't think it's making a huge difference like they claim.
It's pretty good here, we have a few stores where you can try them on, have a feel/walk around(inside a store, but you still get a feel). The only thing you don't get alot of is range in boots so alot of more serious players order theirs online from http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/
I was going to order mine from there but was too impatient to wait for shipping

Re: What boots do you rock?
the problem with having size 11 feet is that it's freaking impossible to find indoor boots that aren't some kind of yellow-purple combination... i used to wear predators before but couldn't find any when i was buying...

I wear Nike... And since I play on artificial grass 95% of the time, I have stud-less boots. I might upload a picture later.

After trying a lot of different ones,
I just keep going back to these:
And as you can see, I am in good company wearing them.

Re: What boots do you rock?
What did you think of the CTR 360?
Did you find that you didn't have a great feel for the ball?
That was my only problem with them.

f10s - 8.5/10 .
Excellent boots IMO.
Ctr -
Actually i liked it.
6/10
The problem is its great only for short passes .. You cant play well if you gonna go long with them, The material is just not made for power.
Did you experience what i just said?

Re: What boots do you rock?
I guess you could say that. I had a really nice corner kick with the CTRs, but normally I'm not really playing long balls. But now that you mention it, I do feel like the boots aren't made for power.
I really like all three boots that I mentioned in my original post, but the Tiempos are my favorite. The control I have with the ball is insane and I found my long and short passes were excellent.
Now I just have to find a better team.

Re: What boots do you rock?
Hmm, My friend brought tiempos, He had a hard time getting used to it.. Now days he plays pretty well with it and yeah he usually plays short precise passes..
Btw do you have any idea about f50s or mecurials?
I don't like mercurials tbh, too flashy for my liking..
