If you don't know the name, get familiar. Left Utrecht for PSV in the summer clearout (Vorm to Swansea, van Wolfswinkel to Sporting CP, Strootman to PSV), starts in a relatively potent attack front three with Tim Matavz and Jeremain Lens, and is currently making a mockery of anyone trying to mark him.

10 goals, 7 league appearances.

Somebody else has had to have noticed this, surely. He's one of the most exciting players in Europe right now and is staking a gigantic claim to be a major part of this promising upcoming generation for Belgium

Seen him play a few times and he reminds me of an inferior version of Eden Hazard.

Now 11 goals in 7 league appearances, scored at the spot right before time.

Mertens is an amazing player - was so upset this summer when PSV got him instead of Ajax.

Once again proof that we should not ignore the Belgian NT in the coming years.

Whomever Ajax played out left this afternoon, Boerrigter (sp?, never really heard of him), didn't look too shabby himself. Provided the assist on the first goal and was constantly looking to run at his marker.

Too bad de Boer dropped the nuts with his subs.

Eredivisie's looking fun this year.

I personally consider Boerrigter Ajax best player for the future. He looks amazing so far.
Ajax did deserve to beat Twente today.

Indeed, I recommend that people watch the Eredivisie more, it is one of the most exciting competitions, as it always a surprise as to who will win, and there is a lot of young talent to be seen.

Shouldn't move from Napoli. He has a good thing going on and he can't do any better in terms of level if he wants to be a key player imo. Its not like he is a kid, he is 29. He won't have a better environment than this one in terms of making an impact.

29, hit the peak, will go down. Good player, never one of the best.

Mertens is a beast. Been saying it for years. Would love to have him at Liverpool but I think he'll stay with Napoli.
