The only reliable source I found regarding Jose called him out is when Jose made press conference before Rayo game, saying that Ozil wasn't at his best againts Zagreb & Racing. Jose seemed to mention it because the press asked about that matter rather than he mentioned it out of the blue to intentionally make a public criticism though. And Ozil has already performed very well in the 2 following matches after that press conference as we saw in Rayo & Ajax matches.

Nope, I prefer Ozil, he has been amazing for us so far. But he is not on the same level so far as last season (even so, he has still been better than Kaka).

We need someone on the right for width. Wingers and fullbacks cover the most ground in a game. Neither Ozil nor Kaka are capable of playing defensive winger full time like Di Maria but Di Maria's offensive game is very limited

non-sense ozil is not playing better than kaka give dues when its needed

özil played good vs barca though, dunno why he is underperforming now....

Kaka isn't bad but he isn't as good as he should. Ozil, to me, is having a normal start to the season. Neither here nor there. I figure it has to do with his "new" role in the midfield.

Well, Ozil has still been good, and at times very good, just not on the level of last year. I have full faith that he will bounce back and regain form eventually.

Kaka can't do what Ozil does in AM position, simple asthat. Regard him like CR7 or Benz, he is not a creative Am like Ozil
We'll be able to field him without Ozil effectively at some point when Sahin is integrated. As of now, take Ozil out = no goals

And also vs zaragoza, rayo, ajax. These 4 were not pale at all in comparison to some of his best games last season, I can even argue these 4 were better in some aspects, especially considering the adjustment he had to make to the various roles.

Even in matches like getafe and lyon (where he might be below his usual high standard) he still showed enough good and became pretty decisive in our winning.

Except espanyol (in which both of them not good), imo he hasn't outperformed ozil in any games, scoring more goals /= performing better

Even so, with the way he's playing right now where he's getting more often starting the move from deep, looking at number of assist (both with goal & with shot) alone is probably an understatement of his creativity. Because sometime he did get to the end of the move he started to release the final pass that would be counted in his stats as assist with goal or assist with shot. Example: assist with goal to benz for 1:0 vs Getafe after he started the move from center involving marcelo & coentaro, and also assist with goal to benz for 5:2 vs rayo after he started the move from center involving xabi & benz.

But in another time he didn't get to the end of it and instead of releasing the final pass he's assisting other player to make the final pass and hence this wouldn't be recorded in any of his stats. Example: assist with shot from khedira to benz where he started it from center involving khedira & benz and he ended up assisting khedira for the final pass, assist with goal from benz to ronaldo for 1:0 vs ajax (counter attack) after he started it from right corner near our box involving ronaldo & kaka and he ended up assisting benz for the final pass, and also assist with goal from kaka to ronaldo for 1:1 rayo (counter attack) after he started it from left corner near our box and make a long pass to kaka who assisted ronaldo for the goal (it seemed he took part in plenty of our counter attack chances as the origin)
