Do Dortmund play the best free-flowing football in the world after Barcelona?
After a dominant performance over Arsenal in the Champions League yesterday, i would honestly have to say yes. When it comes to possession style, free-flowing attacking football, i think only Barcelona does it better than Dortmund. Id say Dortmund is definitely above others such as Arsenal, Villareal, etc.

At the moment Bayern play more free flowing football with more cutting edge in final 3rd imo.

Do Bayern really play free flowing football though? I havent actually seen a Bayern game yet this season, but last season they were more of a counterattacking team. Not sure though.

Arsenal don't even play free flowing football anymore.

Well they exactly arent playing barca sytle with possession and false no.9 but certainly are playing free flowing attacking football even if its bit more direct admittedly so far this season imo.
Borussa's play is probably more pleasing to watch but their lack of cutting edge far too frustrating imo.

I'd generally say yes. The game yesterday was not a good example, though.

Hmmm... Obviously people here do not follow the league in Brazil. Ajax plays very free-flowing too. Villareal is another example. There are a lot of them actually.

In terms of quality "free flowing" football, I can immediately name a few teams...
In no order,
Manchester United
Dortmund
Bayern
Real Madrid
Germany
Netherlands
Barcelona

It's to hope that Barrios will return ASAP so that Dortmund will have a proper outlet again. Free-flowing football without goals or 3 points in the end is really frustrating.

In the past, yes, no contention there. Nowadays they unfortunately got a bit worse.sportsczy wrote:To me, whenever i think of beautiful football, i think of the Brazil NT.

Doesnt that how United play too (atleast this season) ? Why isnt that free flowing football? Or are u saying only possession football is free flowing football.

Re: Do Dortmund play the best free-flowing football in the world after Barcelona?
United doesn't have the players to play like us. They play a mix of possession and counter attack football. We play counter attack football as well but our possession style mix is totally different from them. Their possession style is more team oriented because players can't keep it on their own bar Nani (not long as well). Ozil, Benz, Marcelo or CR7 have all the time in the world to look for passing options when in possesionBeautifulGame wrote:babun1024 wrote:He misses Arsenal and RM doesn't play free flowing We play look for the gaps or the super direct styleImAbackBone wrote:highburied wrote:teague wrote:In terms of quality "free flowing" football, I can immediately name a few teams...

I didn't include Arsenal because in their current form, there is no way they belong in that list.
Ozil and Ronaldo have been playing with so much freedom, which is also the reason how Ronaldo scored 53 goals in a season.. yup Madrid play direct style

My definition of free flowing football includes fluide passing in midfield We play a lot more individualistic all over the pitch, specially in final 3rdteague wrote:babun1024 wrote:He misses Arsenal and RM doesn't play free flowing We play look for gaps or the super direct styleImAbackBone wrote:highburied wrote:teague wrote:In terms of quality "free flowing" football, I can immediately name a few teams...

King of free flowing are Brazil NT.
Others may just watch and learn.
In club level Arsenal have done it for years.
