Canales interview

After the Valencia game, he was interviewed by local newspaper First, he said that he is very happy with the win. Then he was asked why didn't he get much playing under Mou, maybe he is too weak physically?
He said it can't be true because Ozil and Di Maria are weaklings but Mou started them over me anyway...

I'd say his positioning was the thing that Mou didn't really like about him.

He's not real madrid material. It's that simple.

not just that, but he is still at a point of his career where he doesnt know what to do when he gets the ball. not mature enough yet.

I am looking forward to his return, but our team is so young he just does not have a place in our team.

Ive seen him a lot,specially in the u20WC,never impressed me.A starting spot,maybe even bench role is too much sand for his truck atm

That's why i said; he's not good enough for madrid. If we start drooling over players like him, then we can kiss la liga, cl, and all goodbye.

Huntsman Canales is a gem. We were/are not expecting him to win us anything.

No. But i dont consider him good enough to lead the madrid ship. He might prove me wrong in the future.

I do not really feel bad about the players you just mentioned. One that I am sad about relates to a player whose situation we could do nothing about: Ruben de la Red. I wish could have had a long Real Madrid playing career

maybe if he had worked more we wouldnt be here as well. The choice oof staying was equally his, it's time to stop blaming real for that kid. Nobody asked him to slack off in training, when benzema did it, we all mocked him.

did you watched him for valencia as a sub last game? He was One of the players that made the difference in second half,opened up Racing's midfield with his link up play and quick dribbles.

We only got him because he was the hottest prospect at the time.

I think he should of been given Kaka's spot for this season.

No Nick, we just should have left him at Racing. He's immature and needs (needed) seasoning. I look at it as he is gone and I fully believe he will be one of the next Spanish superstars. Just think of the difference the extra year at Racing would have done. He would be coming this year when we need midfielders and would fit it just fine.

They are doing the right thing with Sarabia. He also is immature for 1st team and since we can give him the seasoning we need (i.e. Castilla not in liga adelante), we loan him out (and he doesn't have a bad image with coach).

AS to previous remark that he doesn't mind missing Mata, Borja, Negredo, Solado etc, two of them were on futbol team of week and another made an impressive debut in EPL. Botja still to play tonight. They all would look good at RM.

Seems like he is a bit hurt or bitter. Hope he toughens up a bit and matures, so next year, in two years or whenever we need him back, he can come and contest for a starting place.

By the way, what shirt number was Canales wearing? His usual 16, or the 10 now that Mata is gone?
