Re: Vanilla Ice: Jose Maria Callejon
I would like to send this message to everyone who supports or is involved in Real Madrid. It is not a message of goodbye, but one of thanks and until we meet again:
I thank Real Madrid for everything it has meant and will always mean to me, because it has helped me as a sportsman and as a person.
I thank this wonderful club and its supporters for the understanding, support and affection they have given me.
I thank the media for their understanding and respect.
I would like to say a special word of thanks to all those who work for Real Madrid, from the President down to the staff and coaches and to all those who work behind the scenes, who the public don’t know but who are always there.
Finally, I would like to say that I have spent eight unforgettable years of my life here and for my part I have dedicated all my strength and work to give back to Real Madrid some of what it has given me.
For all of this, let me say once again, thank you all very much".
what a guy I really really hope he becomes successful in his new club and comes back much improved and polished

I've always liked him, hope he does well and gets into the World Cup squad even if it is unlikely

Re: Vanilla Ice: Jose Maria Callejon
Yeh he's pretty underrated. He isn't the flashiest player on the ball or the most creative, however he's a good finisher. He'd suit a 4-3-3 formation where he plays on the wing and is just expected to finish. Or maybe a 4-2-3-1. Although wingers in a 4-2-3-1 usually provide more.

Re: Vanilla Ice: Jose Maria Callejon
Jose Callejon admitted he thinks "a lot" about missing out on winning the Champions League with Real Madrid following his transfer to Napoli.
The Spaniard was part of Jose Mourinho's Blancos side between 2011 and 2013, but, after securing a move to Italy, watched on as Carlo Ancelotti led the club to their 10th European Cup, something which the 27-year-old regularly dwells upon.
"I have thought about missing out on being a European champion many times. A lot! Because I spent two very nice years there, where we were at the semi-finals both years," Callejon told Goal.
"I always thought it in that third year, when I am not with them, that they'd go and win. But I was also very happy for them."
