Rumours: The same Russian Club (Anzhi) that bought Zirkhov for about 15M & Eto'o (soon will be official) is chasing Dani Alves!!

Russian club Anzhi are willing to offer Barcelona 35 to 40M for Brazilian right back defender Dani Alves (28). Despite the 15M a year salary offer, sources close to Dani Alves say the player isn't interested in a move to Anzhi at this moment. [sport]

yes, same here.. i was thinking about Lahm.. but the chemistry between Alves & Barca players especially Messi is irreplaceable!! he is doing great @ defence, SSC vs cr7 he completely Stopped ronaldo!! Going Forward & the way he links with Messi, i can't see anyone doning it the same!!

but what if this crazy russian club, made it & offered a Huge number!! Will Rosell sell him ?

This being said... I think Alves is the kind of guy who will leave for money eventually. He won't retire here. Groom Montoya and I reckon Alves will want a new challenge in a couple of seasons...

He doesn't deserve to be called a right back to be honest... he's a right boss.

I don't thin Montoya will make it at Barça. He is very fast and quite a good defender, but lacks quality.
Maybe he can make it at barça, but it will be quite a step down from Alves.

Lahm is the only one able to replace him, agreed. You won't get as much going up but he'd be a rock defensively.

Not happening. And I mean Barcelona selling Alves nor Bayern selling Lahm. These guys are pretty much club icons right now.

Whenever we lose Alves, anyone who replaces him will be a step down.
