Buon Compleanno a Matri, Dottore Tencone, Prandelli, e Brio !

Today sees a host of Bianconeri celebrate their birthdays. No less than four current and former representatives of Juventus are born on Friday 19th August.

The youngest is Alessandro Matri, who has turned 27. The striker born in Milan, arrived in January from Cagliari and enjoys his first birthday with the club. Yesterday saw the player give himself the perfect present by clinching the Bianconeri's winner against the club with which he began his career, during the TIM Trophy competition played in Bari.

Dr. Fabrizio Tencone, however, is more accustomed to birthday celebrations in black and white. The head of the medical team, a long-standing Juventus employee, has turned 46 today.

Cesare Prandelli and Sergio Brio, both heroes from a successful period during the 1980s, also celebrate their birthdays on this day. The coach of Italy’s national side, who represented the Bianconeri from 1979-1983, is 54. Instead, Sergio Brio turns 55. The former defender spent 12 seasons in Turin and clinched a richly deserved place in the 50 legends to be linked to the new stadium.
