Best performance ever vs Barca

Those 2 legs have to of been the best 2 performances ever (at least vs this Barca) vs Barca.

We pressured, kept the ball, created chances and it was almost perfect.


Now what I didn't like was the following:

Pepe kept hoofing it ALL the time and he still has balance problems.

Our defense is still shaky and not all that solid

We are still missing someone who can come up with magic. Ronaldo can't really cut in because Barca play a highline so he just dribbles into random spaces to no avail.

We played well. Definitely an upgrade over last season.

Trust me, they really enjoyed playing against us before, they absolutely hate the idea of playing us now. Look at how they celebrated their goals, as if it were the CL final. They're feeling the pressure.

I was very content with the shape of the team and the execution, only the finishing let us down but the difference between the 0-5 and this game was immense
We bridged a huge gap 2 spectacular games by the way, 9 goals scored in total

If MT thinks this was a great performance, suffice to say, the side has gotten really far with Mourinho....

Everything about the performances was good. We pressured well and even had superior possession to them at times.

Who else has done that as good as us? Beaten them at their own game?

It's just a few problems we have to sort out until we're finally there.

What I saw in those two games that I liked, was that we had a very strong confidence; something that lacked from the previous games. (referring to last couple years)

If we were a bit more accurate and we had just a tad more luck, we could win both of matches.

At any rate, the performances were very promising and this year, I fully believe that Real will reclaim their throne again, both in Liga and in Ch.League.
