Falcao-Atletico would be a great step for my career
Manzano is trying to put together something nice with the New Atletico Madrid. Bar the ever present losers mentality, they actually have an interesting squad.
As reported by the spanish medias, their dream line up looks a bit like this
Courtois
Silvio-Godin-Dominguez-Filipe
Gabi-Suarez-Diego
Turan-Falcao-Reyes
The names in red are the people they are working hard to sign. Diego isnt very expensive at all, and there is every reason to think that he will soon go there. If not, the very promising Koke will playmake.
And ofc, Falcao, who i surprisingly open for a move there it seems, as he says "everything is open"
I would be shocked if he were to leave the CL with Porto to join eternal underachiever Atletico.
Meanwhile, they are hoping to sell Forlan to an eventual bidder, as he would free up the space for Falcao, and they are trying to sell Elias as well, he didnt impress in 6 months there
All and all they can have an exciting team, and it's all good for la liga. Their defensive midfield is very suspect tho

Really hope they get him, would be great to see him in La Liga next year and they need a talent to replace Aguero.

he doesnt need to, they are trying to reinvent the team around a spanish 433 from what i get, or it will be a 4231, easier said than done ofc, but with a lot of work, they can do good.

Maybe he just fancies a new challenge
There is zero challenge in Portugal compared to playing in Atletico trying to win something lol

CSKA would knock Atletico's teeth in, that's a step down.windkick wrote:Surprised K. Honda didn't move
If you're talking about moving elsewhere, I see it as only a matter of time for Honda. He's practically the face of Japanese football, and a big club will surely make a bid sooner or later not only for the play but for the gigantic marketing potential as well.

Yea I meant for any club, not Atletico. I was sure if there was one player that would move this summer it was Honda and I never even read any solid rumors about him. Same with L. Donovan, I thought he would of moved to Everton for good finally.

You're right, he's too big for that.
It's a classy squad they're after, I really hope they stick wit Courtois.

Atletico submited a 5M offer for Diego, the player is said to have agreed terms with the colchoneros already, and they are just awaiting for Wolfsburg yo accept the bid.

Re: Falcao-Atletico would be a great step for my career
I read that Porto is asking 38 milion for Falcao! zil.
They should never, ever, pay that for Falcao. Get Osvaldo for 20 and especially sell Forlan (to juve? )!!!! I'ts very important to lose weight.

Jorge Mendes in at the Viccente Calderon to close the transfer of Falcao.
If everything is agreed, the transfer will go through later today

Re: Falcao-Atletico would be a great step for my career
Wow, out of all the clubs linked with Falcao, Atletico end up landing him.
Wonder if this means Forlan is out the door or if they will use him as a power sup like they did last year
With the addition of Falcao and Diego, Atletico might actually crack a solid #8 spot this year

Porto were so frakking strong... yet they sell their manager and their key attacker? Come on.
Also, Pathetico? Should have waited a year and gone to a real club.

Falcao should consider a move to Tottenham if they're interested.
A move to Atletico just seems...wrong. Credit to the club, though, for finding such a stellar replacement.

Re: Falcao-Atletico would be a great step for my career
It isn't, but if he's desperate to move to one of the top leagues right now I can't think of another club the ambition they have, with the availability to fund his move, and such an obvious opening at striker.St_Nick09_of_Goal wrote:what's so compelling about joining Tottenham?
